Las Vegas Road Trip

On August 09 - 10 2002, Frank, Gene and I went to Las Vegas in Frank's Van.

08-10-02 - we left L.A. at 19:00, ate dinner on the way, and arrived in Las Vegas at 02:30, we hit a heavy Traffic Jam on the 15fwy which delayed us. we checked into Sam's Casino Trailer park and slept in the van

08-10-02 - we had Breakfast (all you can eat breakfast for $5) at the Sam's Town Casino, we then went to the The Gun Store (702) 454-1110 on 2900 E. Tropicana Ave. Las Vegas (for more info go to: http://www.thegunstorelasvegas.com/) and each rented a Submachinegun for $30 which came with a box of 50-rounds of ammo and paid another $15 for an extra box of ammo. each of us fired 50 round of the subgun we rented, then let the others each fire 25 round on it. so we all get a chance to fire each other's rented subgun

Gene Rented the British Sten Gun, Frank Rented the HK MP5 and I rented the Colt M16-9mm, The Clerk Supervising us showed us how to fire the subguns and he was very patient, nice and understanding as we posed for pictures ^_^, if you've never gotten a chance to fire a full automatic Sub-machinegun and want to try it, i highly recommend you try it the next time you are in Last Vegas.

We then went to the Stratosphere Casino to ride the High Roller, $8.00 ride (A roller coaster with rails on the outside of the Observation desk with nothing beneath you but the ground), after the ride, we were offered a ride on Big Shot for only another $4.00, Gene Persuaded Frank and I to try it, sigh... so we went on it, they had us remove anything that could fall off (Eyeglasss, sandals, camera), we were then shot Straight up, because of our safety harness, our view while shooting up shows us the Ground floor, we couldn't see the observation deck! it was a dizzying view! it feels like you have just been propelled through the air in a rocket! then halfway down, just as you thought it was over, it shot back up, it did this a few time,

After the Ride, we then ate all you can eat Lunch for $8.00, then Frank played a few rounds of Video poker, it was too hot to do anything else so we then left Las Vegas and went home. we got back to L.A. at around 21:00

On the whole, we had a Hell of a time!
