Mar-Sa The Ultra Girl (Jim's Original Work)

This is not a Ranma fanfic, this is a story I originally wrote during my time in the Air Force in the winter of 1985, and I consider it a good example of one of my earlier projects. I am revising it now with the intention of seeing it in published form. This is only one third of the total novel and I prefer to keep the copywrites, so please make a notice that this is MY original work, even if it is based on various concepts that were inspired by other sources. I wrote this because of my love of Comic Books and my general disdain for those second rate hacks who often mangle the genre through their failure to properly render a time-tested and venerable concept. You will most likely see hints and homages to themes and characters who appear in other mediums populating my universe, but in general I am trying to tell a serious story while hopefully getting it right as this is what I believe would happen if Superheroes were real and not just fictional creations. If you would like to see the entire series in published form, please write and give me your hints and suggestions. I will be working on the new additions in good stead, but it does take time for me to transcribe my old typewritten pages into a computer format.

Basically this story postulates the theory of why life on other worlds seems to closely resemble our own in Science Fiction stories. Another way of putting it would be: "Why does Clark Kent war glasses?" I hope that the approach that I have taken here is fresh and original as this is what I believe the writers of various comic books OUGHT to do, which is to stress character over routine fights with rubber monsters. Besides, it's fun to speculate what life would be like if we really did have superpowers..
