Most families claim to have nuts in
their
family tree...
our family claims to have an
occasionally sane member.

Some are mentioned only by name, others not
mentioned at all. I used to have a great deal of information
(birthdates, children), but with all the concerns over Identity Theft,
I've trimmed down greatly.
There have been two other members of the immediate family that have been in the Navy.
During World War II, Grandpa (Robert Palmer)

served on USS
Manila Bay (CVE-61) (1944 & 1945).
During the Viet Nam "Conflict", my uncle

served on USS
Whetstone
(LSD-27).
He also was a member of
Beach Jumper Group One.
My father joined the US Army - but we forgive him anyway (Hi, Pops!)

One sister also joined the Army. She went
to
Germany in 1996 or 1997, and I haven't heard from her since.
(Oh, Debbie... where are you?)
