    I would like to publicly acknowledge all those that assisted me and my family in our time of grief.

    First Class Petty Officers Association of USS Porter (DDG-78) - for purchasing my plane tickets and paying for my lodging.

    Crew of USS Porter (DDG-78) - for the donation of sufficient funds to cover both the plane ticket and lodging in San Diego for my mother.

    Crew of USS Porter (DDG-78) - for the bouquet of 15 red roses that showed at the viewing.

    Combat Systems Schools Department, at Service School Command, Great Lakes - for the lovely sympathy card and the donations that also helped cover various costs encountered.

    Additionally, friends and old shipmates pitched in to help cover the costs of food, vehicle rental, plane tickets for my brother and two sisters to also accompany me to San Diego.  Unless they ask, their full name will not be revealed, but many thanks to:
