GOHAN: THE ULTIMATE SAIYAN WARRIOR
CELL'S MIGHTY BREAKDOWN April 18, 2001
Cell's just realized the worst news ever: he's about to be defeated by an 11 year old boy! Desperate to defeat Gohan, Cell begins to use Krillin's Destructo Disc attack. Much to everyone's surprise (especially Krillin) Gohan catches the mighty discs!
Growing more desperate, Cell uses Piccolo's special beam cannon attack…which Gohan easily deflects. Cell flies up and powers up for a Kameameha Wave…which Gohan counters with a larger Kameameha Wave!
Beaten and broken, Cell attempts to regenerate. Goku tells Gohan to destroy Cell while he can…but Gohan wants him to suffer!
Cell bulks up and flies down, but Gohan is too fast. One kick to Cell's stomach sends him reeling. But the second one has a much stronger effect. Struggling to contain what's about to happen, Cell begins to look sick. The only two fighters who can sense what is happening are Goku and Piccolo.
Cell's ultimate power is fading fast…because Cell just coughed up Android 18!
Sorry ya'll. Lost track of titles and all that, but here's what happens...
Gohan tortures Cell a little more, but eventually Cell comes thisclose to blowing up. But Goku bravely uses instant transmission to teleport the not-so-perfect being away to the other world...and is killed in the explosion (which also destroys King Kai's Planet, as well as kills King Kai, Jeremy, and Bubbles). It looks like Cell is beaten, but Gohan is too busy blaming himself when Cell reemerges!
It seems that Dr. Gero was truly a genius. The cells of Frieza allow him to survive in the vaccuum where King Kai's Planet was. The cells of Piccolo allow him to regenerate. And the cells of Goku and Vegeta function like any other Saiyans cells react when they are beaten.
He comes back stronger. And in his perfect form. And very, very unhappy. And the first thing he does? He kills Trunks. And Vegeta ain't too happy about that.
Vegeta, in a rare moment of emotion, charges Cell in a mad rush to avenge his future sons death, but is easily tossed aside by Cell. Clearly beaten, Vegeta has only one thing to say to Gohan:"I'm...sorry".
Gohan feels he is forever beaten by Cell, when he hears a voice telling him not to give up. The voice of...Goku?!
Yep, King Kai and Goku (as well as Bubbles and Jeremy) exist as otherworldly beings! Using King Kai as his "dimensional telephone" Goku aids Gohan, telling him how to channel his power for one last Kamehamea Wave! Unfortunatly, Cell has a similar plan!
It looks like Earth is history! Cell unleashes his wave just as Gohan does, and it doesn't go so well. The two blasts meet and it's a struggle to see who's wave is stronger! Goku guides Gohan as Vegeta flies off to safety, but Piccolo has had enough! He blindly flies down, seeking to aid Gohan, refusing to let him die alone. Tien, Yamcha, and a reluctant Krillin follow shortly.
The three attack Cell from behind, as Vegeta scoffs. Meanwhile, they all give there reasons for why they're fighting...
Piccolo: "Gohan, I won't let you die! You're the first person to ever show me what it's like...to have a friend.
Yamcha: "I owe Goku so much. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have a motivation for getting stronger. It's like an obsession."
Tien: "Goku. I can't help you now, though I owe you so much. The least I can do is help your son!"
Krillin: "Gee, a few years ago, I would have just ran from here. Guess that shows how much Goku can rub off on you."
Gohan has his own fears. He's afraid there blasts will detonate the wave, but Goku tells him to focus; they can take care of themselves. Gohan gives it his all, when Goku realizes what's holding Gohan back. He gives Gohan the last advice Gohan would have expected.
"Gohan. Forget about the Earth."
Convincing his son that any damage done to the Earth can be repaired with the Dragonballs, Gohan attacks full force. It's only when Piccolo, Yamcha, Krillin, and Tien give up that it looks like all is lost, when a lone blast hits Cell from behind. Distracted, Cell turns to find his assailant was...
Vegeta.
The once-evil-Saiyan has finally turned his back and turned to the right side. While Cell is distracted...
Gohan attacks. Cell is decimated and the Earth is finally safe (and Hercule takes the credit). But what about Goku?
The Earth Dragonballs are used to wish back everyone who was killed by Cell, but Goku, even though it is a new Dragon, cannot be resurrected since he was resurrected once before. The gang is about the wish themselves to Namek, where the Namekian Dragon Porunga can be used to wish Goku back (being the original Dragon, Porunga is capable of resurrecting a person more than once), when Goku contacts them all again and tells them not to. He has decided that he should stay in the Other World for a while, with King Kai acting as his tour guide. When asked why, he tells them that everyone they fight is looking for him. Plus, he is no longer needed. Earth has a new hero...Gohan.
Meanwhile, the time has come for Trunks to return to the future and face the Androids of his time(since there are now two timelines, the Androids of Trunks' future still exist). Trunks heads to the future and shows just how helpful that Time Chamber is by defeating the once fearsome Android's 17 and 18 in about 4 seconds, an all-time DBZ fight record! Of course, there's still one small problem: Cell in his original, Imperfect Form! The two scuffle, but in the end, Trunk's comes out victorious. Of course, by beating Cell AND the Androids, he has created a third timeline: one in which he is the strongest fighter in the Universe.
