GOKU VS. CELL March 30, 2001 - THE FIGHT IS OVER April 5, 2001

Eh, I missed episodes again. So sue me.

Goku finally starts battling Cell, and things are looking grim. In a moment of desperation, Goku flies up as high as he can and powers up for a Kamehamea wave, risking blowing up the planet. Cell calls his bluff, but is caught off guard when Goku uses Instant Transmission to pop up right in front of Cell, blowing up the Android!

But it's not over yet. Cell regenerates and goes at it with Goku once more. Realizing he is outclassed, Goku makes a daring decision: he tells Cell he is finished fighting him!

GOHAN'S DESPERATE PLEA April 10, 2001

It's looking like Goku's son is dead! As Gohan bravely gets his butt whipped by Cell, Goku merely watches calmly, even as Trunks, Krillin, and Piccolo plead with him to go help Gohan, fearing the young boy's life. But it's too late, because it looks like Cell just killed him!

But when Cell prepares to call the next opponent, the mountain Cell blew Gohan into explodes and the young Super Saiyan walks forward, grim determination on his face. Gohan tells Cell that he has finally figured out why Goku was so confident: Gohan has a power hidden deep within him that will show itself whenever Gohan is in a situation which threatens either his life or the life of a friend. (remember? It showed up when he headbutted Radditz in THE SAIYAN SAGA and later on when Frieza tried to stop him from saving Krillin in THE FRIEZA SAGA.). He then tells Cell that if he continues...he'll have to kill him.

But the mighty Cell merely laughs. Gohan's attempt worked, but not in the way he thought. Cell agrees not to kill Gohan...for now. For Cell now has something to work for, and he won't stop until he sees Gohan's ultimate power.

ANDROID EXPLOSION April 11, 2001

Alas, the Earth appears to be hanging on how long it takes for Cell to tick Gohan off. Android 16 attempts to use the bomb in his chest to kill Cell…until Krillin remembers hearing Bulma say that her and her father, afraid it was intended for Goku, had taken it out, just in case the Android flaked out and attacked Goku. Cell, not too happy at the attempt on his life, easily blows the Android in to a lot of scrap metal.

Meanwhile, Piccolo finally convinces Goku that Gohan may be the strongest person in the world, but he's not a fighter, just a scared 11 year old boy. Goku attempts to use a Senzu bean, but…

Cell proceeds with his attempts to make Gohan furious. First, he steals the Senzu beans before Goku can use one. He then pops out 7 little Cell clones, one for each fighter. Looks like Tien and Yamcha are gonna have to fight after all.

CHILDREN OF CELL ATTACK April 12, 2001

In one of the strangest moves ever, Cell sends seven little Cell "children" to attack the fighters in an attempt to make Gohan mad. As the rest of the fighters get their butts whipped, Gohan spends the time silently pleading for his dad to help him, terrified that Cell will kill Goku and he'll be unable to save him.

Meanwhile, Hercule is "off to get a doctor's help" when someone tells him to wait. Android 16 is still alive and kicking! Well, actually he's just alive, since all that's remaining is his head, which landed near Hercule. He convinces Hercule to throw him in front of Gohan.

As Gohan and Cell stare at the head in front of them, 16 tells Gohan that it is not a sin to let go of his anger. He then tells Gohan that he understands what Gohan is going through, for he has the same feelings (can an Android even have feelings?), but some people (like Cell) just won't listen, so he has to fight. Cell then crushes 16's head.

But as Gohan watches his friends and his father be beaten, he becomes enraged. Angered that he'll lose everyone, he finally lets go. For years, his ultimate power has been foretold of since before he can speak. For years, it has run wild within his body, unchannelled. Uncontrolled.

But now, that power has finally been harnessed. With a blast of lightning and a burst of energy, Gohan passes Ultra Super Saiyan and achieves Level 2!

With grim determination on his face, tears in his eyes and anger in his heart, Gohan powers up. The young warrior is now prepared for the fight to determine the fate of Earth…and the lives of his friends.
