CELL: THE PERFECT WEAPON
SAY GOODBYE, 17! February 20, 2001
Android 16 is able to hold his own against Cell, but it's not enough. Cell infuses Android 17, becoming much stronger than 16, and then tries to convince 18 by using 17's voice to trick her. She doesn't fall for it, so Cell attempts to take her by force. 16 tries to stop him, but he gets have his head blown off. Tien interferes, giving 16 and 18 time to escape, but 16 can't fly out. Meanwhile, Goku and Gohan have sensed what Tien's doing, and are baffled, because Goku, Gohan, and Tien all know that Tien can't hold up an effort to stop Cell for long.
After using powerful energy blasts to allow Androids 18 and 16 to escape, Tien finally gives out. Cell is about to kill him for allowing the Androids to escape, but Goku decides that he's had enough and uses instant transmission to pick up Tien, and discovers a nearly dead Piccolo! Goku grabs the two fighters and tells Cell he'll be ready to fight in one day, then uses instant transmission to teleport back to Kame's Tower.
Meanwhile, Krillin has finally found Bulma. She gives him the remote to shut down the androids and tells them it will only work within ten meters, as well as a Saiyan Battlesuit. Krillin then asks Bulma to head to Kame's Tower to give the others their suits.
At Kame's Tower, Tien and Piccolo are healed using Zenzu Beans when Vegeta and Trunks exit the Time Chamber!
Vegeta and Trunks have finally exited the Time Chamber! Trunks begins to tell Goku that they would have been out in a couple of hours, but Vegeta interrupts him, saying that they are not to discuss their training. After Bulma arrives with their suits, Vegeta flies off after Cell, with Trunks behind him to offer support.
Meanwhile, Cell is still on a rampage, searching for the two missing Androids. He then decides that the only way to get them out is to destroy every island he sees until 18 comes out.
Back at Kame's, Goku and Gohan have finished their meal and are now in the Time Chamber, ready for the most grueling training experience of their lives. However, Vegeta has just arrived to confront Cell. If Vegeta truly is as strong as he says he is, the training may be all for naught.
Vegeta just arrived to do combat with Cell as Goku and Gohan enter the Time Chamber. Vegeta powers up to Ultra Super Saiyan and gets ready to put a serious hurting on Cell.
Krillin has finally arrived at the island where Cell and Vegeta are battling. He's got the remote that Bulma built, and he's ready to use it…he thinks. Vegeta continues to put a bad hurting on Cell by proving just how much stronger he is. Cell isn't enjoying this very much, and the irony that Android 18 is about 2 miles away from him is unbearable.
Krillin has finally found the androids, but he isn't ready to use the remote. Realizing his true feelings for 18, he smashes the remote and orders her to leave.
Back on the battlefield, Cell is utilizing Vegeta's weak point by convincing him that he'll be more of a challenge if he is allowed to absorb 18. Cocky and confident in his power, Vegeta lets him go, but Trunks powers up and intervenes. Trunks lands a hard punch to Cells stomach and knocks him down a notch or two. Cell's about to complain to Vegeta that the two had a deal when he spots 18! Whoops.

Cells perfect…kiss your planet good bye! Vegeta steps in to fight Cell as Trunks goes to help the near dead Krillin.
Krillin tells Trunks that Cell is a lot stronger than he's letting them know…just like Trunks is! It would seem that Krilin can sense that Trunks is way stronger than Vegeta, but he won't show it!
Meanwhile, Cell is teaching Vegeta a new meaning for "ultimate". Cell gets to Vegeta, and the "prince of Saiyans" is now blinded by his own rage!
Only a few miles away, Krilling begs Trunks to interfere, but he refuses. Trunks tells Krillin that he can't interfere because he knows Vegeta would sooner be killed than accept help, especially from him!
Poor Vegeta. He thought he was the strongest, but Cell just handed him his butt. As Vegeta gets thrashed, Krillin is still dogging Trunks about why he won't interfere, so Trunks tells him why: while everyone believes his father is arrogant, deep down Vegeta is more concerned with honor, and he refuses to attack Cell until he loses consciousness so as not to let his father know he's stronger.
Vegeta, on the other hand, is finally making progress. He provokes Cell to stand in his attack…and blows off half his upper torso! Cell gets enraged when Vegeta starts laughing, causing Vegeta to laugh harder. But it was a distraction! Using Piccolo's regenerate ability, he grows back his body and continues his assault, rendering Vegeta unconscious.
Meanwhile, Trunks and Krillin sense that Vegeta has changed back from Super Saiyan, and Krillin tells Trunks to power up. The young Saiyan is more than happy to oblige, but can he stop Cell AND save Vegeta?
Now that Vegeta's unconscious, Trunks can enter the fray! After powering up to nearly full strength, Trunks tells Krillin he's going to fight Cell, and that Krillin has to get Vegeta to Master Roshi's. After letting Cell hit him as a distraction, Krillin is able to get the broken Saiyan and fly off, but reluctantly.
But Cell is not so easily tricked. The maniacal android sensed Krillin taking Vegeta away and let him get away with it. It would seem he is far more interested in fighting Trunks, hoping he will prove to be a real challenge.
Cell and Trunks are ready to go at it as Krillin rushes the broken Vegeta back to Master Roshi's. After powering up and having a small tussle, Trunks proves he is much stronger by blasting Cell into the ground! But when the perfect android arises, he merely laughs and reveals that Trunks is clearly much stronger than Cell is...and yet he has no chance of winning.
After finally going to full power, Trunks and Cell are going at it. The two go at it for a while, but Trunks can't seem to land a hit!
Back in the Time Chamber, Gohan is showing Goku everything he can do. When the young Saiyan is finished, Goku stands up and easily hits Ultra Super Saiyan! Gohan tells him he is sure Goku can beat Cell, but Goku can sense a weakness in the new form.
Back on the battlefield, Trunks is realizing he is quite a bit slower than Cell and is getting his butt kicked. Cell merely laughs and explains that it's quite hard to beat your opponent if you can't catch them, prompting Trunks to realize why Vegeta stopped training.
In the Time Chamber, Goku tells Gohan why the form is bad. When in the USS level, the Saiyans grow large, bulky muscles. Strength is greatly increased, but at the cost of speed!
Meanwhile, Vegeta and Krillin have stopped on an island and are watching the battle unfold from a distance, when Trunk's energy level drops to almost nothing.
Trunks has powered down and tells Cell he can kill him if he wishes, but Cell has other ideas. He's going to bring back the World Martial Arts Tournament, to take place in 10 days. The more fighters Trunks can get together, the more chances he has to win. He then tells Trunks he wants the world to see them defeated, and that he's only doing this to get the most he can out of Earth…before he destroys it!
