THE QUEST COMES TO AN END...BEHOLD THE SUPER NAMEK!
FRIEZA'S SECOND TRANSFORMATION
Krillin's trip to find Guru and Dende is intervened when Dende, who has escaped thanks to a stall play by Guru and Nail, runs into the bald earthling. Dende returns and drops the password. The eternal dragon of Namek, Porunga, has been summoned...but Frieza just found out about their ploy, and he's none too happy!
Krillin and Gohan are trying to come up with their wish, but they can't wish everyone back at once, meaning they only have enough wishes to bring back three of their four friends!! So, Piccolo contacts them and tells them to resurrect him. His plan: Once he is resurrected, Kame and the Earth Dragon Balls will return. But it isn't his idea to come back and run Snake-Way. First, Piccolo is resurrected. The second wish is for him to be wished immediatly to planet Namek. But, a clarical error lands him on the opposite side of Namek, as far away as possible from Frieza and the Z Fighters. Dende is about to make the third wish when Vegeta arrives and threatens to kill them, but they all sense Frieza coming and immediatly, Vegeta makes Dende wish for him to be immortal so they stand a chance.
Reluctantly, Krillin tells Dende to make the wish. Just as it seems Dende is getting the wish made, the Dragon suddenly disappears! But the wish was never granted...Guru has died, taking with him the Dragon. But there's no time for remorse...Frieza has arrived!
Piccolo, en route to the battle field, stumbles across the dieing Nail. Nail suggests a ancient Namekian technique, the Fusion. By doing this, Nail will essentially be "absorbed" by Piccolo, giving Piccolo his strength, knowledge, and techniques. Piccolo reluctantly agrees, and hopefully the boost will be enough, because Frieza just whipped out a new ploy: a transformation to increase his strength!
FIGHTING POWER ONE MILLION? 8-29-02
Frieza's getting cocky, relaying the story of how he destroyed the Saiyans, then completing his transformation, jumping up to three times his original size. But there's more: Frieza's power level is now One Million! (NOTE: Not really! Though Frieza claimed this, he was not at the One Million mark yet...I'll explain more in the summary for "Deja Vu", so as not to ruin the plot for ya!...--J.C.)
Frieza's first mission in his new transformation? Impale Krillin with his horn! It's not pretty, and Krillin gets tossed to the oceans floor, though young Dende rescues him. Gohan gets ticked off and charges, but doesn't hold on for long, though he does leave a mark in Frieza's pride. Just when it looks like Frieza is going to kill Gohan, Krillin attacks?! Somehow, Krillin is fully healed...
So, Krillin distracts Frieza and flies off...but why? While he's gone, we learn that Dende has a remarkable talent: the ability to heal any and all wounds so long as the subject still lives. Gohan gets restored, and they fight three strong again. But, just as they almost get there...a bright light intervenes.
Piccolo has arrived!
Anyway, Vegeta gets fed up and hauls out of there, but Frieza is waaay to fast. Vegeta gets stomped with one punch, as Piccolo launches an attack, clearly proving that he's got quite an upper hand going. It isn't until towards the climax that Piccolo reveals his fusion, and his new status as Super Namek!
(NOTE--Two things...First off, Piccolo is referred to as a Super Namek, but I don't think this is an actual transformation, especially seeing as how we never see it at any point after Frieza Saga. Second, Frieza is NOT PL 1,000,000 and heres why: Piccolo quite easily got the upper hand in this fight, but Piccolo is speculated at only around 800,000. There is NO WAY Piccolo could have fought that long with that much of an upper hand, even if Frieza was holding back, so Frieza was most likely bluffing to scare the Z Fighters and give him more of an edge...--J.C.)
FRIEZA'S SECOND TRANSFORMATION 9-4-02
Frieza is none to happy about Piccolo's newfound strength...so he whips out another transformation! If that's not enough for you, Frieza reveals that there is still one more transformation before his ultimate level!
It seems all hope is gone as Piccolo gets his butt kicked, but Gohan flies in to seemingly meet his doom. Krillin starts to help him, but Vegeta holds him back and tells Krillin that the only hope to stop Frieza is if Krillin beats the crap out of...Vegeta?!
ANOTHER TRANSFORMATION? 9-5-02
Piccolo, badly beaten, is saved by the really P.O.'d Gohan just as Vegeta makes a startling proposition to Krillin: if Krillin beats Vegeta to within an inch of his life, Vegeta can defeat Frieza. Krillin doesn't want to at first, but he eventually goes on with in, blasting a hole through Vegeta's stomach. Once Vegeta hits the ground, he goes to make Dende heal him. If Dende heals Vegeta, his strength will increase several times. Unfortunaly, Dende refuses to heal the man who killed his Namek friends.
Frieza begins the final transformation as Dende heals Piccolo, and Krillin tells him to heal Vegeta. Dende is against it, but Nail takes over and tells Dende it's there only hope. Dende complies, but Frieza sees Dende's talent...things aren't looking to good for the young Namek!
Frieza finishes up the transformation and immediatly kills Dende, insuring there will be no more healing. Now in his ultimate form, Frieza's power in unstoppable...isn't it? Not if Vegeta's right...he claims to finally be a Super Saiyan!
