NTNT Season 2 RACE 4-Ford Drag 2003

FREESTYLE

Johnel Everett brought Blue Thunder out first, mentioning that he is trying the new truck out with a possibility of getting into another ride. He scored a 25 and seemed pleased.

Mike Alston took Team Meents through its paces and got some Meents-sized air on the pole-limo obstacle, earning a 27 and setting the bar for everyone to follow!

After being strong in racing, James Hannon caught a bad break on a car set and flipped early, scoring a 14.

Brandon Perles became the second driver to take on the pole stack, and was rewarded with a 24 in American Dream.

Dig came out for his guest freestyle and tore it up, using his usual arsenal of moves. He was scored "for fun" and got a 28.

Jeremy Murphy's Monster World-sponsored Python scored a 16.

Tonight's racing winner, Landon Harrison, got wild in Mechanical Stimulation to earn a 27, tying for the lead.

Mathew Williams finally came back to NTNT, and it was in Black Smith this time. He scored a 20.

Jon Lenhardt took Savage for a wild ride on his way to a 21, flipping on a backwards attempt over the box van.

Glen Milburn showed up and raced tonight in Scarlet Bandit 2004, and looked good on his way to a 22.

Next came his teammate in this league, Jeremy Waring and Bounty Hunter! Jeremy tested out Bounty Hunter 2004 for a one-race deal and announced afterwards he'd be heading to the seat of 2003 for good...even though he scored a 27 to tie!

The incredible freestyle runs didn't stop there! Robbie Milburn brought Rare Breed out and continued to improve, making a statement with a 28 to take the lead!

Kevin Kaffenberger had an outstanding freestyle run but felt his 25 wasn't the right score. He may have been onto something, and the crowd booed the scores given.

Bill Haught took Maximum Destruction on a wild ride once again and by the end of the run, the truck was in pieces. He scored a 23.

Robby Haught came out with both barrels blazing, going all-out in an effort to take the lead. Remember, last season when NTNT stopped here, Robby pulled the runner-up for Move of the Year when he rode the wall after a flip and brought Skitso 4 back down on all fours. Robby headed for the semi trailer at one end of the track and caught more than his share of air, looks like he's gonna be over...NO! HE SAVES IT! He rode it out on one wheel and brought it back down, then continued! After that though, he rolled the truck on the same bus pyramid last year. There would be no save this time, and he scored a 27 for second place.

Dustin Hart knew that BlackBeard 3 was a good truck when he made it, but even the lofty goals he had in mind couldn't have equaled the run he put down to win here at Ford Drag. It would simply be easier to say what Dustin DID NOT do in his allotted two minutes on the track. This could be the best run of the season so far, and the perfect 30 and win were almost an afterthought that left the crowd buzzing. Dustin Hart takes his first freestyle win of the young season after a rocky start; if he performs this well in the coming races, then his competitors are gonna be in HUGE trouble! Team XFA's Robby Haught and Josh Rhodes were watching and both mentioned how proud they were. "THAT is what we signed him for...Dustin can get the job done and he's got a great piece in BlackBeard 3!" they said. Let the pictures tell the story. We'll see you next week at Laurance County!
