NTNT Season 2 RACE 3-RMJS World Finals 1
FREESTYLE
Brandon Perles has a new Team IMTR truck in the works, but for now he's still in American Dream. He put on a show for the fans but flipped a minute into his run, costing him a shot at getting more than the score of 18 he got. He's had some spectacular moments but using the full time is in the judges' criteria for a good run.

Kevin Kaffenberger nearly won the first freestyle competition of the season in Grave Digger 20th Anny, and he did a nice job tonight as well, scoring a 22.

Another short but VERY exciting run followed from James Hannon, in the seat of Black Stallion 20th tonight for Jason Lloyd. After blowing the right rear tire making the save shown below at the start of the run, James let the truck go wild and eventually flipped early, taking the lead with a 23.

Next came Alex Weber, IMTR captain. After an early-round loss in racing, Alex had something to prove to the fans, and he proved one thing-he can freestyle. A 24 got him the lead, but the crowd booed the scores, thinking he may have done better.

James Hannon was also in the seat of his normal truck, Art of War, and that proved to be a nice fit too! James took the lead from Alex with a 25!

Dustin Hart made his return after two weeks away from NTNT, wisely hiring sub drivers each time. Where was he? Preparing BlackBeard 3 for its debut with him driving tonight! The Dodge-powered truck got him a 22 to start his season.

Robbie Milburn finally broke out and had a solid freestyle in Rare Breed, getting a 24.

Mike Alston helped make NTNT history by piloting the third Meents truck in the field, Team Meents, and made it the first time that Goldberg, Team Meents, and Maximum Destruction all competed in NTNT. He scored a 22.

GraveFan had the right idea for his freestyle, starting with a spectacular reverse move going sideways over a bus pyramid, but his run was cut short and a 15 was the result.

Eddie Carmichael turned some heads in racing and announced that he would be working on some new connections for his Bigfoot 10 in a week or two. He had a solid run and a 22, very smart for someone high up in freestyle points.

Landon Harrison made the finals in racing and ended a great night with a tie for the lead, scoring a 25.

Charlie Wagner left ProDRO World Finals 3 promising NTNT fans a better freestyle this week, and he delivered, scoring a 24 with some Meents-style moves that included a sideways jump over a bus pyramid that he rode out of nicely.

Bill Haught runs another Meents truck in NTNT, that truck being the newest, Maximum Destruction. Bill tied for second place so far with a 24, keeping great momentum and using the obstacles still left to his advantage. He blasted through a triple-stacked car pyramid...

...then had an INCREDIBLE front flip that almost landed back on all four wheels to end his run! Had Bill gone the full time, he may have walked away with his first freestyle victory.

Robby Haught told the fans that after his racing win he was gonna let it all hang out in freestyle, and they'd better get a body ready at the shop! True to his word, Robby delivered with a 27 that gave him the lead. His big moves came at the middle and end of his run, but perhaps the biggest air of the year for anyone was the middle part...as in the middle of the track, where officials brought out a mobile home and placed it on top of a huge dirt ramp. Robby blasted through it backwards and it shot the truck straight up into the air 30-40 feet! Amazingly, Robby landed hard on the rear tires and thanks to the beadlocks, kept rolling, finishing his run with a spectacular flip that he nearly saved as time expired.

Eric Thiele got back on track after a disappointment in his debut with Monster Mutt, scoring a 25 and showing signs of becoming a great freestyler should he stick with the truck.

Josh Coleman has been improving a lot lately and had his best freestyle yet, getting a 24 in Titanic.

Tonight's winner only comes as a surprise for those who haven't been following league racing for about three months. Jeremy Waring has come into multiple leagues and proven himself, and the NTNT rookie took his first freestyle win with a 28. It ended with a trashed truck and some tire marks on one of the stadium walls, but Jeremy didn't care, he'd won! He announced that major updates were almost complete on his new Bounty Hunter for 2004 and it could debut as early as next week along with Glen Milburn's Scarlet Bandit! No video due to camera problems the way the track was made, but pictures below are enough to prove the win:

Congratulations to all our NTNT competitors on an OUTSTANDING race from RMJS World Finals; the points race is heating up already and it'll be sure to be a great season! Don't miss our next race on Wednesday!
