FREESTYLE HIGHLIGHTS

Things got started off in freestyle with a bang! Mathew Williams came back to NTNT after a short retirement from racing all together and hoppe back into Pure Breed. It was as if he never left the seat, and he scored a 21.

Next came Alissa Skrivanek, after a week off herself, and Cyborg took the lead by one point with a 22.

After that, it was David Stewart's turn in Hot Shoe. He tore up the track, using wheelies and hitting everything out there that he could. The big green Ford bumped Cyborg out of the top spot with a 24, another solid run for David.

Corey Davis and Reptoid had been having some expensive weekends freestyle wise, showing that he wasn't afraid to tear it up, sometimes literally, for the fans. He ended up flipping the truck for the third straight week, but this time later in his run, to get a 23 from the judges and keep his momentum heading into Brampton.

Dustin Hart also made a return after having to have a sub driver for a few weeks, and he shook off the rust for a 21. He'll have to step his game up to make the field for the World Finals.

Josh Rhodes was excited since a large number of his XFA teammates were attending this event, and the other half of Team Mixed Breed performed nicely, scoring a 25 to take the lead and wowing the crowd in the process, pulling an amazing save against the concrete wall.

Robbie Milburn had one of his best runs all year in Black Stallion, scoring a 26 and changing the lead over once again with some incredible saves, including one against the wall similar to the one Dig had just pulled. Team Milburn was obviously happy about this one!

Landon Harrison is known for racing like few others can, but in freestyle he's no slouch either, and he stepped it up and took the lead with a 27. Great air everywhere, and a lot of crossed-up jumps over obstacles that caused the truck to go crooked, then he saved them. With one truck left, Slick was in position to win his first freestyle event in NTNT.

Other scores were as follows:

Bill Haught (Freak of Nature)-18

Halid Kurtic (The Rock)-20

Glen Milburn (Demolition Man)-18

Mike Alston (Sniper)-18

Cory Schwab (Bigfoot T-Wrecks)-20

Cory Schwab (Bear Foot, subbing for Alex Weber)-19

Jim (Avenger)-did not get truck fixed in time for freestyle.

One truck was left, and that truck was Robby Haught's Skitso 4. Robby wanted in the worst way to get up into second or even win the title in NTNT's inaugural season, and he showed it tonight with a 27 to tie Slick for the win. He had a sideways jump over a van pyramid that totally twisted the truck sideways, then rode out after landing on one wheel and saved after the truck's hood was nearly touching the ground. Take a look:

After the last trucks had freestyled, our two guests for tonight came out to tear up the track. The crowd judged the runs just for fun, as they would not be added to the points on request. C.J. Bar showed once again why he's the captain of Team XFA; after not showing up for any MTM2 events since we saw him at ProDRO World Finals 2 here in NTNT, he came and had one of the best runs of the night, scoring a 27 with great air over everything and some incredible saves. He ended up on his lid after taking on a school bus pyramid. At the same time, Corey Davis' friend Justin was freestyling the Snake Bite machine, catching some nice air but flipping earlier than Meth, scoring a 20. What a way to end the night in NTNT; an all-around exciting and great event. If this is any indication, these final two weeks should be wild! Good night, everyone.
