FREESTYLE HIGHLIGHTS

After the exciting racing came freestyle. David Stewart couldn't attend this event, but he made a smart move in hiring a substitute driver, Corey Davis, and Corey went out and scored an 18  in freestyle in his truck after flipping a little early.

Next out was Mathew Williams and Pure Breed. Mathew seemed to be getting the handle on the new Alston Enterprises chassis, and scored a 24 with some nice wheelies.

Corey Davis hopped into his usual truck, Reptoid, and had a great run going until some big air over the bus and a crooked landing sent him into an end over end flip onto the barricades, almost nailing Alex Weber's Bear Foot! It fell short of the time allowed though, so he scored a 22.

Justin M. and his Rampage truck were making their NTNT debut here at Tampa, and he went out and got used to the truck, scoring a solid debut score of 19.

Dustin Hart stepped his game up once again in Tampa, taking Pure Adrenalin to the lead with a 27 and a couple of great saves like this one. He also jumped a truck going over the double!

Sitting in his truck and watching Dustin's run got Halid Kurtic and the Rock pumped up, and he went out and tied Dustin's score on the power of a great flip and save to start his run. He kept things going for the entire 2 minutes afterwards and tied for the lead with a 27.

Bill Haught may not have much experience in racing, but his freestyles continue to be consistent, and he turned in another solid score of 24.

John Everett was seen eyeing the airplane out on the track for freestyle before the show, and he wasn't checking to see if he could fly it out of the stadium! After a great run that included a long sidesurf and save and huge air with great momentum, he took on the plane and wheelied through it. For his efforts, he earned a perfect 30 from the judges as the crowd roared. He would be taking home at least part of the freestyle win for tonight, but there was one truck left to run.

Other scores were as follows:

Robby Haught (Skitso 4)-25

Eddie Carmichael (Bigfoot 10)-25

Mike Alston (Half Breed 3, subbing for Josh Rhodes)-25

Alex Weber (Bear Foot)-15

Mike Alston-no score, could not fix truck in time for freestyle.

Cory Schwab has made the finals for two straight weeks, including his win tonight in racing, and he wanted to make it a sweep at NTNT, which would be a first for the series. Cory went out and did everything that John did in his run in Blue Thunder, taking the T-Wrecks truck through its paces. He had two incredible saves, getting the truck totally sideways and bringing it back. He also lasted the whole run and took on all obstacles, and for that he earned the 30 from the judges and a tie for the freestyle win with Blue Thunder. Congratulations to Cory on a great night in NTNT; he earned 99 out of a possible 100 points!
