FREESTYLE HIGHLIGHTS

First out for freestyle was Eric Thiele and the Grave Digger 20th Anniversary machine. Eric wanted to come out rocking in Vegas, but ended up on his lid a bit too early, scoring a 15.

Slick was out next to freestyle Sudden Impact in NTNT for the first time, and he gave the fans something to cheer about, scoring a 26 that included a huge air jump, hitting the racing cars up for a monster wheelie and clearing the huge blue semi trailer! He would take the early lead.

After that came Halid Kurtic and his Rock truck. Bull just topped Sudden Impact with an amazing run. He started out with an incredible flip and save against the wall by where the trucks turned in racing, and also saved the truck from flipping over the crush cars later on. Bull will move closer to the freestyle points lead with the 27 he received from the judges.

Freestyle points leader Josh Rhodes and the Half Breed 3 came out and did his best to get the win tonight, but fell just short, scoring a 25. He will still retain the freestyle lead by a good margin, however. He nosed the Half Breed over and flipped it a little early, then hopped into Pure Adrenalin, subbing for Dustin Hart...

...and did better in his substitute truck! Dig scored a 27 and tied for the lead with an absolutely unbelievable run, saving the truck so many times the judges lost count! He pulled wheelies, got huge air, and had great momentum. Dustin Hart will be happy with Dig when he gets back. Dig tied for the lead with Halid Kurtic and the Rock.

Another person driving two trucks tonight was Slick, and he brought out Team Meents not knowing what to expect from it. He adjusted very quickly, however, and earned a 24 from the judges that included a nice save after a monster sky wheelie on the crush cars.

John Everett couldn't attend the event tonight in Blue Thunder, so he hired Cory Schwab and let him have the keys for the night. Cory drove it like he stole it, but ended up flipping early and getting an 18.

Eddie Carmichael brought out Bigfoot 10 ready to go after getting knocked out early in racing, and he had a strong run going until flipping after a crooked jump on the cars. The judges deducted points for him not using the full time, and he scored a 19.

Mathew Williams got Pure Breed running just in time to tear up the track in Vegas, and he had a nice, solid run to get him back up in the freestyle points standings, scoring a 24.

The first half of Team Milburn came up to freestyle. Glen Milburn made his debut in Vegas freestyling Black Stallion 2000, and what a debut for a youngster! He more than doubled up his age, 9, with a 21 in freestyle.

After that, Glen's big brother Robbie came out and scored a 24 with some big air, and had he not flipped a tad early, his 24 might have been even higher. Still, a nice run though. There are rumors that the two brothers may trade trucks for the rest of the season going around. We'll keep you posted.

Other scores were as follows:

Bill Haught (Freak of Nature)-18

Alex Weber (Bear Foot)-18

David Stewart (Hot Shoe)-24

Robby Haught (Skitso 4)-19

Cory Schwab (Bigfoot T-Wrecks)-22

Corey Davis (Reptoid)-11

Congratulations to tonight's winners, Dig filling in for Dustin Hart in Pure Adrenalin, and Bull in The Rock! See you next week at World Finals 3!
