RACING:
Countless stories highlighted the event at Last Stop. Although this wasn't NTNT's Last Stop, it had a "getting ready" feeling to it as far as the World Finals went. One thing was missing though-John Everett and Blue Thunder, who had been battling with Josh Rhodes and Robby Haught for the points championships. We'll see if that hurts his chances at winning the whole thing in the points. An all-star lineup came to play, including the debut of Jim and his Avenger '57 Chevy, the return of Mathew Williams and Pure Breed, and of course, our two guests for tonight, C.J. Bar and Justin. Everyone's ready on the track, let's get to the action!
ROUND 1 HIGHLIGHTS
The most interesting matchups in round one came relatively late in the brackets. Wouldn't you know it, Jim and Justin were matched up in the first round, and in both driver's first race, an NTNT first occurred-BOTH trucks flipped at the end of their runs, absolutely amazing. Although Jim crossed the finish line first, Justin emerged the victor in Snake Bite due to Jim poling. What a wild race!

Both drivers climbed out OK, but Jim's truck was badly damaged and would probably be done for the night. Still though, a wild ride and he proved right there that he's not afraid to run hard. Maybe we'll see more of him this and next season. Slick, Corey Davis, Robby Haught, Cory Schwab, Mike Alston, and others moved on with them to the second round.
ROUND 2 HIGHLIGHTS
Corey Davis and Landon "Slickster" Harrison had matched up in the finals last time out, and they were on a collision course again tonight. They squared off in round two and Landon took the win in MoonShiner to move on. Josh Rhodes and Half Breed 3 helped his points cause out by knocking off Cory Schwab (subbing for Alex Weber in Bear Foot) when Cory redlighted. Mike Alston and Sniper were out for bear tonight, and he took out Halid Kurtic's Rock truck to move on. Robby Haught saw his chance to move up in the points, when for the second straight week he was matched up with his brother Bill in Freak of Nature. Bill would have won the race but missed the second set of cars, handing the win to Robby, who was trying a new transmission setup for racing.
SEMI-FINALS HIGHLIGHTS
That set up the semi finals, and what a field it was to do battle:

Mike Alston (Sniper) Cory Schwab (Bigfoot T-Wrecks)

Robby Haught (Skitso 4) Landon Harrison (MoonShiner)
With an all-star lineup like this, things were sure to be close. Landon Harrison beat out Robby Haught with a great holeshot and looked impressive on his way to the finals, while Mike Alston and Cory Schwab had a great race decided in the turn.

Cory got the win and would move with Slick to the finals.
FINALS
Two familiar faces in the finals once again, Cory and Slick were set to do battle all over again. This is turning into a very hotly contested rivalry, and tonight was no exception. Simply two great trucks racing hard. Both trucks started off dead even and it stayed that way till the very end. OH MY! What a close race! NTNT officials reviewed the replay, and by about an inch literally, Cory took the win, ending Slick's streak. Congratulations to both racers on a job well done, it absolutely amazed the crowd.
