RACING:

With a huge field like this, anything was possible. The track was a tough St. Louis course, and it tamed more than its share of drivers on the night. The two biggest stories centered around new trucks. Mike Alston didn't show up in Team Meents, but instead brought out the brand new Sniper machine! Alissa Skrivanek, taught by her boyfriend Cory Schwab to race, made her NTNT debut in the awesome Cyborg truck as well. Cory was back after a week's absence in Bigfoot T-Wrecks also. We also reported in last week's Weekly Jam that a team was looking at possibly signing Dustin Hart. Well, the rumors proved true, and this would be his first racing and freestyle event on Team XFA, with Robby Haught, Halid Kurtic, and Josh Rhodes all also representing the team tonight in NTNT. All this was on everyone's mind as the trucks fired up and got ready for the first round of racing...

ROUND 1 HIGHLIGHTS

John Everett was a marked man since he won the racing last weekend in Blue Thunder, and he came out ready for everyone, clocking a 15.22 in qualifying to lead the field. He won his first round matchup handily. Robby Haught lost second overall in the NTNT standings to John and needed to do well in racing this weekend to stay close. He got a bye run with fast qualifying time in his game to move on. Landon "Slickster" Harrison was looking strong in Sudden Impact as well.

ROUND 2 HIGHLIGHTS

Alissa Skrivanek was taught to drive by her boyfriend Cory Schwab, and Cory may regret that decision in the later races. The two were paired up to race against each other for the first time in round two. Cory pulled a great holeshot off the line, and led through the whole race. Alissa even hit a turning pole, but then the unusual happened. Cory flipped the truck just inches before the finish line, and Alissa pulled off the upset, putting T-Wrecks on the trailer early.

SEMI-FINALS HIGHLIGHTS

The huge eighteen-truck field was eventually narrowed down to four, with Mike Alston's Sniper, Robby Haught's Skitso 4, Alissa Skrivanek's Cyborg, and John Everett's Blue Thunder being the four trucks left. Alissa was on a roll tonight and got Robby at the line, making her first finals appearance in her first race. John Everett and Mike Alston had a race so close that it had to be rerun, and John took it on the second go-around. Still though, a great debut for a new truck, Sniper.

That set up the finals...

FINALS

It's final time at Sony! The crowd got on their feet in anticipation of a great final, and the trucks involved delivered in a big way. The trucks staged...

...and there's the green! John in Blue Thunder has a slight lead going into the first turn, but the trucks are dead even going into the final turn...Oh no! Alissa makes a great final turn in Cyborg and blasts across the finish line, while John hits the first ramp crooked and misses the final set of cars! Cyborg wins it! Alissa upset the big guns all night, and tonight she is on top in racing! Congratulations to Alissa on winning in her debut race in Cyborg for NTNT.
