RACING:

First of all, WE'VE DONE IT! The NTNT attendance record before tonight was 16 numerous times, but SEVENTEEN trucks attended tonight's event, an amazing turnout, and thanks goes out to each and every member that chose to attend, NTNT will just get better because of each and every one of you. Getting to the news on the track, two more drivers debuted trucks tonight in Vegas. Slickster brought in Sudden Impact ready to rock after not being on the racing scene at all for quite some time, and rookie Glen Milburn made up the second half of Team Milburn racing tonight, he made his debut in the Black Stallion 2000 machine. Cory Schwab was the fast qualifier, blistering the field once again with a time of 12.57 seconds on the Vegas course. Coming into the event, the points race was tight, and the intensity was ratcheted up a few notches tonight as the battle to get into NTNT World Finals 1 heated up. Robby Haught was in danger of falling into third place overall after being upset in Vegas last week, but the person right on his heels, John Everett, couldn't make the event, so he had Cory Schwab and Blue Thunder take over and sub for the night.

ROUND 1 HIGHLIGHTS

Mathew Williams couldn't make the call to his first round matchup and was left to thrash to get things fixed on Pure Breed in time for freestyle. Slickster won his first round matchup in Sudden Impact, Corey Davis looked very smooth in taking out newcomer Glen Milburn and Black Stallion, Cory Schwab and Josh Rhodes moved on, and Robby Haught won his first round matchup, among others.

ROUND 2 HIGHLIGHTS

Round 2's most interesting matchup was the same as round one's last week, with Alex Weber's Bear Foot getting the same result as last week over Robby Haught and Skitso 4, Robby seemed in a funk at the Vegas track still, and Alex beat him handily. However, due to breakages and his qualifying time, Robby would move with Alex on to the semi final round.

Cory Schwab was able to take out points leader Dig in his race, and Slick took out Corey Davis and Reptoid in the battle of two Fords.

SEMI-FINALS HIGHLIGHTS

Robby was just lucky to have made the semis, and told NTNT so before the race. "I really shouldn't be here; I'm just lucky to have gotten this far," he said. His semifinal opponent was Slickster, and Slick took the measure of Robby after he got squirly in the turn. Cory Schwab was matched up against red-hot Alex Weber and Bear Foot, but the big bear finally fell to T-Wrecks and Cory would move on to the finals.

FINALS

Cory Schwab made it trip number five in a row to the racing finals; nobody seems to stop him before now, if at all. He would go up against NTNT's hottest new member, Slickster and Sudden Impact. The crowd was on its feet as the trucks staged...and they're off! Slick has a slight lead coming into Thunder Alley...

OH! Cory makes a rare mistake, overcorrecting coming out of the turn...

...and it's Slick by almost a truck length! Cory misses the cars and finally gets the truck under control just in time, a wild final run for both trucks, as the replay showed Slick just barely missing a pole.

Your winner at World Finals 2, SLICKSTER and Sudden Impact!
