was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman.
He grew up in still another village where He worked in a carpenter's shop until He was thirty.
Then for three years He traveled and preached. He never wrote a book.
He never held an office. He never had a family or owned a house.
He did not go to college. He never visited a big city.
He never traveled more than two hundred miles from the place where He was born.

He did none of the things man usually associates with greatness.
He had no credentials but Himself.
He was only thirty-three when the tide of public opinion turned against Him.
His friends ran away. He was turned over to His enemies and went through the mockery of a trial.
He was nailed to a stake between two thieves. While He was dying,
His executioners gambled for His clothing, the only property He had on earth.

When He was dead, He was laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend.
Twenty centuries have come and gone and today He remains the central figure of the human race
and the leader of mankind's progress.

All the armies that ever marched, all the fleets that ever sailed,
all the parliaments that ever sat, all the kings that ever reigned, put together,
have not affected the life of men on this planet so much as
that One Solitary Life.

---Dr. James Allen Francis, originally published 1928

We celebrate the birth of this, the Saviour of the World, every year during the
Christmas season, traditionally celebrated by most people on December 25.

We now live in a world where Christmas itself is under attack from
selfish unbelievers, in the name of "Equality", "Diversity", and "Tolerance",
three of the most misused words in today's discourse.

Everything and everyone is "equal" - except for Christians.
"Diversity" is for every conceivable group of people - except for Christians.
And "tolerance" is used for the most intolerant or reasons,
and attempt to mimimize and (if they could do so) destroy Christianity.
Christians have been persecuted since the day that Jesus told his followers,
"Because of me, you shall be hated by all men."

Of all the people who have been victims of persecution, intolerance and hatred,
no two groups of people have suffered more than Jews and Christians.
Satan hates all Mankind because God loves us so much, enough to have sent his only
begotten Son to show us the way to be made Whole.
Satan hates the Christians of this world because their souls have been
sealed by the Holy Spirit, and so he cannot touch them; he can only
give them a hard time in this life.
Most of all, he hates the Jews because they are God's Chosen,
and because it was through him that the Messiah, the annointed
Saviour of the World, was to come.

Evil men today persecute us each day, as they have done for centuries.
Today, it is no longer in countries of oppression and terror, but
here in our own backyards.

Thank God that the Lord himself is still in control, however it may seem.
he is waiting, biding his time, to come down again and set things right.
And the Bible is very clear as to what he will do.

And though some would say it is an offense to wish you a Merry Christmas,
I do so now without hesitation.

A Merry Christmas to You All,

And may God Bless you, everyone.
