This is Koko's palace, at the top of the Hill.
It is quite a grand residence, and really
much too big for just Koko himself and a few
servants. Being a middle-class person at heart,
Koko has many middle-class trappings, including a
barbeque grill on the far end of the courtyard,
complete with a fireworkstand, and a
telescope for watching the stars. If he's lucky,
he might someday find a UFO out in space.
Koko, for those who do not know, is the
Lord high Executioner of titipu. It is a terribly
long story how he got there, (See "The Mikado")
but he is as gentle as a lamb and would never
harm anyone. In fact, he was once the Titipu
town tailor, and his shop is still open on the south
side of the Toki-Saki River.
At the point this story begins, Yum-Yum, Pitti-Sing,
and Peep-Bo have left the Titipu Geisha school
and are now living (respectably)in Koko's palace.
Pitti-Sing and Peep-Bo are hoping to find rich
husbands, and Yum-Yum is supposed to soon marry Koko.
But will it happen? Who can tell? Maybe she
will, and maybe she won't. In the Sims reality,
all ordinary bets are off!
And in any case, Yum-Yum is pretty, but not nearly so nice as Koko thinks she is. Peep-Bo is
actually the pretty one, and much sweeter. Pitti-Sing
is very playful, and lots of fun to be around.

This simple-looking thatched cottage is the humble abode
of the street musician known as Nanki-Poo. He currently
has several goals in his interesting life, and one of them
is to hide from the Lady Katisha who has been pursuing him.
"Nanki-Poo" is actually the Crown Prince of Japan, in disguise.
It was determined that he should marry the Lady Katisha, who
is about ten years older than he is, and not at all suitable
for his disposition. Furthermore, he thinks she's old and ugly.
So he has been hiding out in Titipu, raising chickens and
performing music for small coins. When he stops playing, they throw
him even more coins. Undaunted, he still thinks he has a chance
to become a famous pop musician, and that's another reason he
lives in disguise. He also has his eyes set on Yum-Yum, the
Pretty fiancee of Koko. He is totally smitten by her.

This is the house of Pooh-Bah, the second-grandest
house in the neighborhood. Rich, snobbish Pooh-Bah is
the Lord Chamberlain of Titipu, as well as every other
important so-and-so in the town. The list of his
titles is simply to long to include here, but he is
a samurai of the most extensive ancestry, and makes
a show of humbling himself whenever possible.
Being very rich, his house is filled with the finest works
of art, including antique paintings and woodcuts, fine
swords (which he never wears), and magnificent suits of
armour. He looks down his nose at Koko, and is terrified
of the three little maids who live in Koko's palace.
Count on Pooh-Bah to be in the thick of action when
money is to be made, but count on him to make himself
scarce when any real danger arises!
His best friend is probably Pish-Tush, but who can say?

Pish-Tush is a noble samurai, and Steward of Koko's
castle. He is in charge of all the serving samurai,
and usually has his loyal sidekick, Goto, at his side.
Goto seldom says anything, but he is a painfully nice
man all the same. When this pair is not scouting about
the neighborhood, trying to find out if anyone knows
something of the mysterious packages with the return
address of "J.W.Wells, Respectable family Sorcerers",
then they are surely reading poetry or practicing their
martial arts moves. Pish-Tush is disgustingly
handsome, and has his eyes set on the beautiful,
dainty Peep-Bo. Will the mysteries be solved to?
his satisfaction, and will he win the hand of peep-Bo?

These two small houses belong to Sing-Hi and Sing-Lo,
two samurai in the service of the lord high Executioner.
When not at work or practicing their kicks, they
work on their swordsmanship. They also like to sing
together. Sing-Hi's wife is San-Ryo, who is an
excellent cook and a good housewife. Sing-Lo's wife,
Sue-Zuki, is a little more of a "modern" woman, who
takes things in life more seriously than does her
friend and neighbor. Both couples get along extremely
well, and socialize together frequently in the evenings.
They have many weekend barbeques together, and share a
great many mutual interests.

Down the street live four more samurai in the service
of the Lord High Executioner. They are four handsome
young bachelors, in fact, who are called Oki-Doki, Hunki-Dori,
Saki-Tumi and Hoki-Poki. They live in four tiny houses
right next door to each other, but the houses are sufficient
for their simple needs. They are dedicated fighters, and
practice their samurai skills daily. They are all unmarried,
but they are very eligible. Will some lucky girl land
one of them for a husband, or will other adventures
await them?

The Lady Katisha is better known as the "mystery lady"
who purchased a very fine house on the hill, but who has
not been seen at all by her neighbors! She lives just
close enough to Nanki-Poo's cottage that she can keep
an eye on him without ever leaving her yard. Although
to 19 year old Nanki-Poo she seems old and ugly, at
29 she may not be as awful as Nanki thinks she is. It
was said, after all, that while her face was always angry
(which probably made her look ugly), the rest of her
was celebrated for great beauty! So, go and figure!
She does not live alone, however, and has a deeply-tanned,
muscular hunk of a bodyguard named Yojimbo who guards her
with his life. While he is pumping iron and improving
his outrageous good looks every day, Katisha obliviously
keeps her eyes fixed on Nanki-Poo. I wonder if she will
ever notice what is literally in her own back yard?

And now that you know where the usual gang from Titipu is, and what they are up to, it is time to remember that there are ...OTHER PEOPLE of interest living here! It is now time to go to the next page and meet some of them. They may surprise you.
