Now that you've met our citizens, let's take a look at some of their favorite hang-outs.

This small strip of shops in downtown Titipu features
Koko's Tailor Shop, which is still in operation, although
Koko himself is almost never able to be there any more.
He drops in occasionally to make sure all is well, but his
young apprentice, So-So, runs things in his absence. Koko
isn't too sure about So-So as a business partner, but so
far nothing has gone wrong. Itis a very fine tailor shop,
with a showroom on the ground floor, and the fitting rooms
upstairs. people love to come in and try on clothes, and
they usually buy something, too.
Outside the shop is a public restroom, and across the mall
is what is known as "The Euro cafe". Of course it really
isn't terribly "Euro", but it puts up a good appearance.
Behind the tailor shop is Katsune's Kandle Emporeum, which
sells candles of every dscription, for every occasion. It
is a new store in town, and a curious one - for the owner,
"Kitsune", has business cards and flyers promoting the
J.W. Wells Respectable Family Sorcerers.
Upstairs, over the Euro Cafe, is a small but neat pet
shop which specializes in nothing but birds.

This staid and stolid library complex, encompassing
two buildings, is the P'roto-Bah Memorial Library,
named for the illustrious ancestor of Pooh-Bah, the
venerable and much-publicized protoplasmal Primordial
Globule that crawled out of the slime of the Tokai-Saki
River a kabillion years ago.
The library has a great many volumes of wisdom and learning
as well as a fine display of works of art. There is a small,
serene park in the Square, with benches, trees, and a fountain. In
the West Wing downstairs is a coffee shop that also sells
postcards with pictures of the library, of some of the art
pieces, and of course portraits of P'roto-Bah himself.
...... Just think of that!

The Titipu Greengrocery and Nursery is one of the
most popular establishments in town. In this airy,
attractive place, one can buy fresh fruits and vegetables,
freshly ground spices, delicious chocolates imported all
the way from Pfennig-Halbfennig (See notes below), and
buy beautiful potted plants as well. In the spring,
seeds and seedlings are available. and in the Fall, there
is a halloween pumpkin patch. The nursery is also the best
place in town to get Christmas trees. Even if you don't
buy anythinjg, it is fun to look around, and a great
place to spend a Saturday afternoon.

The Titipu Animal Adoption Agency is a useful and
much-loved institution which makes sure that animals
go to loving homes. A one-time adoption covers the
costs of all vaccinations and initial vterinary
treatment, and no dog or cat is ever just sold.
Many people support this chairity through generous
donations. A small pet store is attached where one
may purchase birds, aquarium fish, and small tank animals.
There is also a pet supplu annex where you may buy any
accessory for your new pets, and the dog cookies are all
freshly baked. There is also an excellent grooming service
for dogs, and there are snack vendors for people, too.
Other people-friendly features are ATM and vending
machines, as well as a playground and a small park where
cherry blossoms bloom year round. A truly wonderful place.

The Titipu Park is affectionally known as "Little Ueno",
--although obviously much, much smaller than the real
Ueno park in Tokyo. But thought it is small, it is
clean and pleasant. It has a cafe, a playground, an
avenue of trees with plenty of shaded benches, and a
small court with a swimming pool, a basketball hoop,
and a vollyball net. Jogging in the park is encouraged.
But the favorite features are the Annual Halloween Cat
Show and Christmas Dog Show. The shows are held on the park's bandstand, and are attended by everyone.

There is much more coming, including a trip to Tokyo, to the favorite vacation grounds, and even to Hollywood. And maybe - just maybe - we'll find out more about The J.W.Wells Respectable family Sorcerers, and share some adventures with our Titipudlian friends.

NOTES: Those of you familiar with the topsy-turvey world of Gilbert & Sullivan probably need no introduction to many of the crazy names and characters I've used here. No, most of these people do not have real Japanese names, now were they ever intended to, so please don't get upset with Daisy for such wierd-sounding names as Sing-Hi and Sing-Lo (which came from an in-joke among G&S singers) or other names much worse. In the spirit of pure silliness, I've sprinkled the town with references to Madame Butterfly, Tenchi Muyo of anime fame, and threw everything into the pot except a Japanese kitchen sink. I have used a few references to other things from the Gilbert & Sullivan universe, auch as Pfennig-Halbfennig, G&S's fictional German Duchy from "The Grand Duke", the Palmieri Brothers Pizza, John Wellington Wells, the respectable "family sorcerer", and others who will be popping up in several of my other Sim Towns. You have been warned
