Name: Core Shadow Members: Alphas Sahar-Ah and Talamok , others include Krysak, Medusa , Nightstalker, Ragnerok and Whitelight. Species: Echidnoyles Physical Description: They look no different from other echidnoyles, average size and build for the most part. Colors are somewhat plain generally, either a light or dark color scheme over all for each member.

Background: The Core Shadows used to be unknown to all other oyles, they were nocturnal only, the cover of darkness helps hide faces better. They flourish in the night and shadows, feeding off fear, hatred, anger, pain and sadness. They are unlike any other echidnoyle, they have two forms they can switch between, a solid body for interacting with people and places in real time in this world, and a spectral form. This allows them to enter a persons dreams and influence them. It's part of how they feed, while asleep a person is vulnerable to suggestion. By lurking in their thoughts and dreams they can bring out a victims fear, anger and hate. Over time they may even twist a person, leaving them only a shadow of the person they used to be. Within the dream they can be anyone or anything, the victim never knows it's them. They invoke paranoia and schizophrenia in even the strongest willed people. Each one has a strong telepathic link with the others, they hardly ever speak, instead communicate with the sixth sense. They can torment as individuals, or work together to become one voice. Each one is somewhat of a clone, as to how DNA was collected, it is still unknown as is much about these creatures. But, in being clones their lives are shortened. They will only live just a little longer than the average Mobian, however, offspring shall regain what they have lost. Other: This Clan is the most well put together, there is no qualms between members, everyone knows their place and duties. The Alphas support their Clan, a deep understanding lies within all members, they know what to do and when to do it, no questions asked, no hesitation. The Alphas are closer than the first Clan, they share a deep spiritual love and are alerted to each others needs before a word is even said. They care for the rest of the Clan as parents would for children. Each Clan member acts like the obedient child. It's a perfect family, they are as one mind and one conscious. They look out for each other, younger ones more carefully than the older. Being able to switch from spectral to material planes grants them a kind of immortality, should they be cornered in the material, or real world, they will shift to the spectral, where the laws of physics can be bent at times. Only old age will kill them, or shift them permanently into the spectral plane. They are constantly on the prowl, they are global creatures. While in the material plane, their spectral selves rest and recharge, while in the spectral, their bodies rest. They never sleep, switching between planes is their sleep, depending on which plane they are in, the other form will rest. Children and mentally ill persons make the best targets, they are weaker willed, imaginations aren't as suppressed, it's easier to play mind games. Fear lasts longer as well, make a good impression, it will stay with them for life. The Shadows tend to stay in desolate areas with the most hatred, fear and anger.

Since their Clan has joined with Surpin's, they have become more vocal as well as begun eating more flesh and sleeping on occasion. They are working together towards one goal, and will let nothing stand in their way. The Cores, along with Surpin, all know that Wraithe is a time traveler, sent back to prevent the Shadows from reaching their goal of taking the Floating Island as their own land, to start a new empire. They have vowed to never let him or the Seraphim win. Though they could seriously do some damage to the Seraphim by telling them their leader is keeping Wraithe as a secret, they also know it could be damaging to their Clan. As a whole they have all sworn to never let anyone inside or outside of their Clan know of him or his reason for being here. Sahar-Ah and Talamok have three children in their first clutch. Dimitri, Alexi-Ah and Coryn. And it looks as if Whitelight and Nightstalker might become mates.

Special ability: They each have a unique ability, but there is a universal one that they share. Having two forms, a solid one for interaction in the world of the living and a spirit one for interaction in the world of the dead. They can abandon their physical bodies at will, making it seem as if they've died. But they can come back, as one body turns to dust so they are able to forge a new one from the earth itself when they wish to return and interact physically with the living. This method allows them to travel undetected to any location they wish to go, they can also retreat to the spectral realm to regroup and think up a new plan of action. Time stands still in the spectral realm, they can stay there al long as they wish and return to the real world only seconds after they left. Surpin too has gained this power recently.
