2010 Rookie Draft

The 2010 Rookie Entry Draft is rolling up on us all soon

and this years crop promises to be one of the best.

There is plenty of pitching and some real gems to be had by

teams holding top picks. The FBSL will hold its annual draft

on Thursday night and the 1st round coverage will be carried

live on the AIM network. The experts have all made their

choices as to whom teams should select and now its up to the

teams to decide. It will be a very exciting night for all of us

in the league and for those fortunate enough to be selected.

Pathway to Greatness-A guide book on building a winner.

I look back often at the first season in the FBSL and realized that the first 3 moves you make for your ball club can make or break the franchise for years to come. It sets the tone for what kind of road you will be taking to get to what should be every teams final destination, a World Series title. I came into the FBSL at the very beginning and the way it was setup was if you had a high pick in the ML draft then you got low picks in the minor league draft. I had last pick in the ML portion but first pick in all three minor league drafts. So, rebuilding at the ML level was an easy decision. I dealt away what talent I had at the big league level for more picks and prospects. It was time now to develop a plan for what kind of talent to acquire and also what kind of ML team did I want to build. The game had begun and I took the first steps... Full Story

What the Future holds in Houston

I sat down with Houston owner, Richard Bartlett, this afternoon to talk with him about recent changes on the ballclub and what he felt the direction of the Houston Astros was at this point in the season.
