Under the influence of her uncle San (Bobby Au Yeung Chun Wah), ambitious university graduate Yuen (Joyce Tang Lai Ming) harbors high hopes in the police profession. She joins the force after her graduation and comes to know Ngor (Esther Kwan Wing Ho), who handles clerical work in the department. The reason Ngor joins the police force is solely for the attractive salary. She is content with her marriage as she thinks her husband is perfect. However, she then discovers her husband has an affair and they divorce. In order to support her child, she applies to be an armed policewoman as it is the short-cut to get promoted. Shortly afterwards, Ngor meets San and they gradually turn from odd couple to lovers with the help of Yuen.
