This summary is from the old Studios USA website. It is written from the viewpoint of Hel:
Voice instructed us to head to an Artificial Surface Environment level to rescue another resistance team. Once we got there, we were awestruck - it was an exact replica of a snow-covered 20th century middle-American town - the attention to detail was downright astounding. I then found myself looking into a window, at a father and his daughter - it was one of the more beautiful things I have ever seen...he was holding her the way my father used to hold me, with his head cocked slightly - I lost myself for a moment. Then they were called outside to look at something. That's when my team came across the dead team member: victim of a Betrayer offensive. I will never get over the ugliness - that such a beautiful place couldn't be left untarnished by the hand of the Betrayers - the thought that that little girl has to grow up in a world like this helped me press on...
Cleo and I soon split off from Sarge and came across a com-yoppa dance rehearsal. Cleo started talking about something called the "macarena," but all I could think about was Dad teaching me the yoppa before he died. (It was always that left over right maneuver that challenged my coordination.) Anyway, Cleo ill-advisedly (as usual) jumped onto the dance floor and started talking to Alexa, the little girl I had watched before. She found out that the girl's father had been gone for a long time...which we thought was a little strange. That later helped us confirm Xev, the team leader's assertion that the girl's father, Nole, was the Betrayer. I couldn't help but be perturbed by the notion of breaking up that moving family scene I watched earlier. The Bailies had virtually recreated a human specimen - all the memories, all his emotions - namely his love for his family, had remained intact. How could we take him away from Alexis? Moreover, Xev had been badly hurt in a little scuffle with Sarge, and we had to get him help. I made the decision that we should abandon the mission...
We were on our way back, when Xev aborted our return mission and decided to head back and take on the Betrayer. When I finally got to him, he was dead, and Nole's true colors, or I should say weapons, were showing. I aimed at him and fired, until he was down. When he re-emerged, he looked up at me and begged me to save him from himself, to help him revive the "true Nole." I couldn't help but stop - I will never forgive myself for putting my team in jeopardy like that. I don't know what came over me - for a moment I saw my father's face in this man's, and I couldn't fire. He took advantage of the moment of hesitation and began choking me. Sarge soon appeared, and saved my life.
Before we left I had to say something to Alexa and her mother. I told Nole's wife to try to focus on the memory of a wonderful man - which in truth is what he was - the Bailies couldn't take away her memories, something I also learned the hard way.
