Cleopatra 2525

Hel and High Water Part 1

This summary is from the old Studios USA website. It is written from the viewpoint of Cleopatra:

Hello?? Deja Vu!!!! I mean, I feels like just yesterday we received a sketchy distress signal!! Well, anyway...we received another one -- but this time it demanded we go underwater. Voice told us to check it out, so we took this submarine thingie. (I was kinda bummed to hear it wasn't made for underwater -- We were using the vessel Mauser had developed for subterranean drilling...) Anyway, all of a sudden we felt these crazy shock waves that were giving our vessel quite a jolt. Sarge suddenly decided we had to go deeper to avoid the waves, and I could tell Hel was none too happy...

As if things couldn't get any worse -- the vessel started leaking. I actually got to use my gauntlet, spreading webbing over the hole, which made it stop for a little while. (Long enough for Sarge to look at me with that little pride twinkle in her eye.) Soon, though, the webbing gave out, and the leak turned into some serious flooding action... That's when I turned and saw one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen: a total stud right outside the window, surrounded by a serene sea of aqua. He must have fixed the ship, or something -- because all problems were suddenly gone! We ended up near all these pretty domes...and we docked....

The people were all really smokin' -- kinda like South Beach... All the women seemed to accessorize really well, and surprisingly the aqua palette worked with all of their skin tones...(Amazing!) Of course, Sarge and Hel came in with guns ready to blaze...I told them to chill, until the Atlanteans aimed all their weapons. Anyway, there was this not-so-nice guy with steely eyes that seemed to be the leader. I thought we were toast, until this other guy came forward, and called him "brother." Shocker!! It was the same hottie from the water...He was really nice, and told us that they had been underwater for 500 years, that their ancestors were part of some revolutionary environmental group. (Who knew those Greenpeacers would get so high-etch!!!) Granger said the distress signal we had gotten was probably from some of their own malfunctioning equipment -- that they'd fix our sub and send us on our way...

While I was contemplating actually eating a sea slug, I heard my Mom. It was the weirdest thing -- she kept asking for help. I saw her offering me Rice Crispie Treats and telling me to "make them stop." Then all of a sudden, her face turned into an insectoid Bailey face!!!!! Sarge and Hel looked really worried and took me to lie down. They must have left me alone, because I started hearing Mom's voice again, and followed it down a hall. Hel came back and started following me with Sarge. I finally reached a large chamber, and you wouldn't believe what I saw: an enormous Bailey, all taken apart, with all this equipment stuck to it. These people were obviously studying the Baileys on the sly!!! The weirdest part came when my mom's face appeared in the Bailey's, saying "You found me, sweetie!" Yikes!!! Then this red energy tentacle thing started coming out of the Bailey and circling me. I just held my breath, trying to prepare myself for whatever might happen next....
