Hercules: The Legendary Journeys

We'll Always Have Cyprus...

The Oracle of Cyprus (Alison Quigan) foresees her own death, just as a young girl rises from the dead on a mission of vengeance. One of the Oracle's priestesses seeks out Hercules (Kevin Sorbo), who is currently dodging Jason's (Jeffrey Thomas) questions about Morrigan (Tamara Gorski). Hercules seems reluctant to talk about her or to her, when she suddenly shows up. At Jason's urging, however, he decides to take Morrigan with him to Cyprus to investigate whether the Oracle's life is indeed in danger.

The resurrected girl named Havisha (Simone Kessel) was once one of the Oracle's priestesses. She left her service to the oracle for a new life with her boyfriend, Drayus (Aaron Devitt), but one night when he was proposing to her, the couple was attacked and killed by thugs. Havisha has now risen from the dead and is tracking the men down and killing them. Meanwhile, Hercules and Morrigan take the road to Cyprus, a road they had traveled together once before. The last time was after they had defeated Dahak, and Morrigan was considering going back to Eire. Hercules and Morrigan were enjoying the little time they had left with each other and after a wonderful day, Morrigan asked Hercules to return to Eire with her and marry her. He agreed, but the next morning she was gone. Now, Morrigan explains that, unable to sleep, she had gone to the Oracle that night. The Oracle told her that while Morrigan would be happy married to Hercules, Greece would desperately miss his help. Though he would stay with her, he would miss his home and she decided not to make him give up his people.

Arriving at the Oracle's temple, they find Havisha attacking the Oracle. She blames the Oracle for her and Drayus' fate. Hercules confronts Havisha and tells her that she has punished the thugs and killing more people will not ease her pain. As she kills more and more, she will become consumed by her hate and forget what it was like to love Drayus. Havisha loses her thirst for revenge and leaves with Drayus' spirit. The Oracle gives up her job because, by Hercules saving her, he has defied fate, and she realizes there is no place for a prophet in a world of infinite possibilities. Morrigan offers to stay in Greece, but Hercules knows that her place is also with her people. The couple finds some consolation in the knowledge that they'll always have Cyprus.
