Hercules (Kevin Sorbo) and Iolaus (Michael Hurst) travel to a small town to help Lilith (Susan Brady), who is concerned about her troubled teenage daughter Seska (Jodie Rimmer). As the frequent target of jokes and pranks by the town bully Magnus (Michael Hallows), Seska is seething inside -- a condition which the goddess Discord (Meighan Desmond) notices and intends to use to her advantage. She instructs her two witches-in- training, Haleh (Katrina Browne) and Sariah (Kelly Addis), to invite Seska to become the third witch necessary to utilize the power of warlock Neibros' book of spells. Seska joins the group and is amazed when her hand, cut intentionally by Haleh's knife, is miraculously healed by witchcraft.
In the town square, Hercules and Iolaus intercede on behalf of feeble Isoceles (Damien Lay) who is being pursued by Magnus. There they run into Lilith, who is happy and relieved they have arrived. Seska, on the other hand, resents her mother for calling upon Hercules and wishes they would leave her alone. Hercules and Iolaus return to Lilith's for dinner, after which Haleh and Sariah arrive to pick up Seska. In their cave, the two girls introduce Seska to Discord and plot how to take revenge on Magnus and get Hercules off Seska's back. Later in the forest, Haleh comes on to Hercules, who rejects her attentions and warns her not to hurt Seska. Little does he know that Haleh has plans for him. She turns Magnus into a wild boar and accuses Hercules of doing the dirty deed. When Hercules faces his accuser, Haleh levitates and calls him a warlock. The Magistrate (Stig Eldred) arrests Hercules and informs him that the penalty for practicing witchcraft is death. Faced with the dilemma of condemning the girls to burn if he tells the truth, Hercules stands trial and tries to defend his reputation. When it appears that Lilith might be implicated for not telling the truth, Hercules saves her by saying he is a warlock and he is sentenced to burn at the stake.
Seska feels guilty but is convinced by the increasingly powerful Haleh to aid her in casting a spell on Iolaus that will cause him to fall in love with Lilith. Dreaming in his cell, Hercules is visited by Haleh, who wants a kiss. When Hercules rejects her, he finds himself in a field outside of town. Iolaus arrives to discover that Hercules' cell is indeed empty, which prompts the Magistrate to assemble a posse to hunt Hercules down. Hercules manages to evade his pursuers and tries to get the book of spells away from Haleh, but finds that whenever he gets near her, he begins to turn to stone. Unable to beat her at the witchcraft game, Hercules enlists Seska to help him get the book.
Hercules visits Discord to drop the hint that Haleh may be planning to summon Neibros from beyond. Meanwhile, a love struck Iolaus proposes marriage to Lilith, who responds by slamming the door in his face. Iolaus tries to smash through the door with a pitchfork and threatens Lilith just as Hercules arrives. Seeing Iolaus is not himself, Hercules cons him into going to the mountains to get ice for his 'engagement party.'
Back in the cave, Haleh and the girls have begun to summon Neibros when Discord materializes. Haleh promptly takes care of her by compressing her into a box. The demon spirit of Neibros takes over Haleh's body as Hercules arrives to cue Seska to begin undoing the spell with a page torn from the book. Hercules recovers the book, which he uses to shield Haleh's fireballs, one of which ricochets and sends her into the whirlwind and back to the beyond. Seska and Sariah renounce witchcraft, Discord confesses enlisting them and Iolaus 'awakens' from his spell wondering why he is in the icy mountains!
