Jack of all Trades

Daddy Dearest

This summary is from the old Studios USA site. It was written from the viewpoint of Jack Stiles:

So it all started when Em and I received a very large crate...containing Em's father Sir Rupert Graves, one of the most renowned spies around. (Even though he does play for the other team - but hey, we can't all be American!) So Rupie started calling Em "Fu-Fu" and, amazingly, got her to cook a roast. (A little on the dry side, but I just got all riled up seeing her in an apron.) That's when I decided I could learn some things from him about how to handle the little miss a little smoother....

Rupie told us he was in town to stop a French invasion. That's when Em piped in her plan of attacking the French munitions dump and blowing up their gunpowder supplies...but Rupie was convinced this was a man's job. (He did compliment her on her roast, though - I don't know why Betty Brit was in such a funk!) So Rupie decided he and I would storm the armory alone.

When we got there, there was one thing on my mind: many French, two of us. Rupie decided we could defeat them anyway (cut from the same stubborn cloth as a certain little lady...) Anyway, he was outnumbered, and the Dragoon had to work his magic, and save the poor old man. Well, apparently Rupie felt a big blow to his ego, which I think made him tell Em all these softie things when we got back, about how he really loved her and that's why he treated her that way, but that above all, he respected her. (That's like handing over the keys with these women - never tell them you respect them!) Anyway, Em devised a plan to make her dad feel like a hero again. We would convince him that if I hadn't gotten in his way, he could have defeated the armory - alone...

So, Em convinced her dad that he still had the juice, and he set off (without knowing, of course, that we were right behind him.) Em's knockout gas came into play here, as she unleashed it on the soldiers before Rupie made a grand entrance. It wasn't so hard for him to defeat half knocked out Frenchies...and the confidence was back in place. (I was sure next Em would make us all sit around in a circle saying we loved ourselves out loud...)

Anyway, I had to squeeze into my cape and mask one more time, and get the last of the soldiers - apparently Rupie was taking his sweet time rigging the explosives. Finally the building went up in flames, with Rupie thinking he had done it all himself...

So Rupie went home an Alpha, and I stayed on the island with his hot-headed spawn. (Something kind of un-poetic about that...)
