Jack of all Trades

Croque for a Day

This summary is from the old Studios USA site. It was written from the viewpoint of Jack Stiles:

Em and I were just strolling through town (so nice that we've been doing more of that lately...) discussing the new poverty tax, like two mature adults. We then spotted three young comely creatures dressed up as my alter-ego, painting some nasty anti-French slurs on the wall (I guess they were miffed about the tax as well...) Em got all caught up in her undies about the "Daughters of the Dragoon" (Ha! Like I'm old enough to be their father...) risking their lives in my name.

Anyway, we returned to Em's lab where our pesky pigeon told us all about Nappie sending a certain Inspector Ribette our way to evaluate the governor. Em and I agreed (did I just say that????) that the governor could barely pass kidney stones, let alone an inspection - and if he didn't Frenchie would put someone in the post who would do some real damage. While I had dreams of donning my costume and saving the day (yeah I'll give those "Daughters" their Daddy...), Em had some ideas about a different kind of costume...

So I had to rouge my cheeks and slip into the Governor's gear. Em told Croque about some diamond mine on the other side of the island - and Greedypants fled before we could say "Greedy Frogs." Speaking of those amphibians, Ribette turned out to be nastier than we imagined - he practically breathed fire when he ordered me to sign the poverty tax bill. Stalling this one, we realized, might require some drastic measures...

Imagine my surprise when I was pelted with tomatoes by the "Daughters of the Dragoon" - I guess my disguise was convincing (at least I didn't have to put on that girdle again.) Ribette and his men didn't waste any time in catching the girls and ordering their execution. I had to step in here, and convince Ribette to hold off on the bloodshed - better to lure the real Dragoon with live bait.

So, Ribette then fired me - I mean honestly, was I such a bad governor?? He then re-issued his execution decree and the Dragoon damsels were led to the gallows. I didn't know how I would get out of my Croque ensemble, until Em appeared - in the guise of the Dragoon. I have to say her outfit showed a lot more cleavage than mine does....

Anyway, she did a fantastic job of getting rid of the soldiers - but those lines!!! I mean would I have told girls wearing nooses that "This is no place to hang around"??? Regardless, I have to admit it was kinda sexy watching her in action - especially when she got the inspector to veto the tax bill, and re-instate the governor. When Governor Croque returned, he was a bit disappointed about the lack of diamonds - but pleasantly surprised by his increase in salary.

My favorite part, naturally, though was watching Em put the "ooh" in Dragoon...truly unforgettable!
