Smallville

Siren

While bringing Oliver Queen a disc containing information on one of Lex’s projects, Chloe is attacked by Black Canary, a leather clad vixen with a strong belief in justice and a powerful subsonic cry. Oliver shows up as the Green Arrow to stop Canary but is bested in a fight. The next day, Daily Planet columnist Dinah Lance informs Lois that Oliver is back in town. Around the same time, Clark finds out from Chloe that she has been working for Oliver and learns about the previous night’s attack. Clark pays Oliver a visit at his loft and finds out from him that Canary is working for Lex. Meanwhile, Canary pays Lex a visit at his mansion, telling him that the Green Arrow tried to stop her from stopping the hacker that stole what she is being led to believe are LuthorCorp trade secrets. Lex agrees to pay Canary a generous sum of money if she can catch Green Arrow for him.

Lionel pays Lana a visit at the Isis Foundation’s office in Metropolis. He knows about the surveillance system she had setup to spy on Lex and wants her to find proof that Lex was responsible for Grant Gabriel’s murder. When she refuses to cooperate with him, Lionel blackmails her into helping him by promising to tell Clark about Casey Brock , the woman that died under her care while Clark was trapped in the Fortress of Solitude. Later on, Clark shows up at the Isis Foundation and asks Lana to see if she can find the Canary in any of the footage she has of Lex’s mansion. Lana is unable to. Realizing that she has to be honest with Clark, Lana stops him before he leaves and tells him about Casey Brock. Despite her honestly, an argument still ensues between the two over the lack of honesty in their relationship, driving them even further apart. Hoping to gain Clark’s trust and love back, Lana decides to sever her deal with Lionel, telling him that she can’t let his obsession with getting revenge on his son for Grant’s murder ruin him like her obsession with Lex has led to ruining her relationship with Clark.

Lois goes to Oliver’s loft to berate him for ending their relationship and leaving town. Much to her surprise, Oliver has cooked her a nice dinner and prepares to spend the evening with her until the Black Canary shows up and uses her subsonic cry to ransack his loft. Oliver is knocked out during the attack and his hidden closet housing his Green Arrow costume and weapons is revealed to Lois. When Oliver comes to it, Lois chastises him for not telling her his secret. Canary knocks Lois out and calls Lex to inform him that she has the Green Arrow. Though Oliver tries to convince Canary that everything Lex has told her about him is not true, Canary refuses to believe it. Meanwhile, Clark visits Chloe at the Daily Planet and the two discover that Dinah Lance is the Black Canary. Chloe hacks into Lex’s computer and stops an exchange of money from him to Canary for her work, prompting the leather clad vixen to show up at the Daily Planet building to find the culprit. Clark tries to talk Canary out of working for Lex but like with Oliver, she doesn’t want to believe she is working on the wrong side. Though Canary is unable to best Clark in a combative fight, she grounds him with her subsonic cry, allowing her to escape from the building.

Canary storms into Lex’s mansion and demands to know if he really intends to bring Oliver to justice. Realizing that Canary is onto him, Lex holds a gun to her demanding she go through with her end of their deal if she wants to stay alive. Oliver shows up as the Green Arrow and stops Lex from killing Canary. The two engages in a violent battle, with Canary backing her former rival up by taking out Lex’s security when they try to get involved. Just as Canary, Lex and Oliver face off in a deadly Mexican standoff, Clark uses his superspeed to disguise his appearance and stop the three from killing one another.

In the end, Lois gives up a second chance for a relationship with Oliver, realizing she would be holding him back from his work. Dinah decides to join up with Oliver and company. Lana decides to move in with Chloe for awhile, feeling she needs her own space to think a lot of things over. Before she leaves, Clark tells her that he doesn’t know what will become of their romantic relationship but will do whatever it takes to make sure they can trust each other again.
