Young Hercules

The Lure of the Lyre

Hercules is lured into the catacomb hideaway belonging to Bacchus, the god of wine, and his cult-like following known as the Bacchae. The person responsible for luring him into the catacomb is the minstrel Orpheus. Along with his girlfriend, Eurydice, the two invite the demigod to return when he can. The next day, Hercules returns with Lilith tagging alongside him. Bacchus is pleased to meet a new "arrival". He orders his Bacchae to officially welcome her to the club. The official welcome is a bite to the neck. She has become a Bacchae, though not yet a full-fledged one. Hercules manages to get her back to the academy. Cheiron states she will become a full-fledged Bacchae if she can't be cured before sundown.

Hercules returns to the catacombs with Iolaus and Lilith. Bacchus sends his Bacchae after his half-brother and friends, who with the help of Orpheus tames the Bacchae with the music Orpheus plays with his lyre. Lilith is cured. Orpheus and Eurydice decide to leave Bacchus' servitude.
