Young Hercules

Fame

Orpheus is once again serving Bacchus. This upsets his girlfriend, Eurydice, who had hoped that dark chapter of their lives had passed. Bacchus has promised Orpheus a life of fame if he uses his music to recruit new members for his cult. He has given Orpheus a special lyre that makes that possible. Cheiron tells Hercules and Iolaus about the Dryads -- the sworn enemies of Bacchus. The Dryad's bones can put a dent in the immortal Bacchus' armor. They go to the nearby desert and kill a Dryad to get a hold of some of its bones.

During Orpheus' next concert at Kora's inn, Hercules and Iolaus have to battle Bacchus. They stab him with the bones of the Dryad. He is weakened into retreat. Orpheus decides if his relationship to Eurydice means anything he will have to give up fame for her. He tosses the lyre Bacchus gave him into the sea before heading off with Eurydice to start a new life.
