Hercules decides to go to the Underworld of his Uncle Hades to try and convince the god of death to give Eurydice a fair judgment. Jason decides to tag along. The two swim to the bottom of a river that leads to the Underworld. They are greeted at its gates by Charon, the boatman of the River Styx. Charon agrees to take them across after some haggling. Hercules arrives in Minos' chamber just in time to stop Eurydice from being thrown into a vortex that will send her to Tartarus for eternity. Hades agrees to let Eurydice be retried if she can make amends with a woman called Cynthea. Cynthea had a daughter who became a Bacchae. In the end, Eurydice achieves her task and can go into the Elysian Fields.
Meanwhile, Jason visits with Aeson, his dearly departed father, in the Elysian Fields. Aeson instills confidence in his son as the young Prince has begun to question his ability to rule Corinth.
