Hercules, Iolaus, and Jason decide to hunt down one of the mythical Golden Hinds. The Golden Hinds are nearly extinct creatures that are half-deer and half-woman. The cadets are after her priceless golden horns and fur. But they aren't the only ones on the Hind's trail as three expert hunters have arrived from afar to hunt this mythical beast. During the hunt, Kora appears to Hercules as the Huntress to stop him from senselessly slaying the Hind, who she reveals is one of Artemis' gentlest creatures. She also asks him to continue to keep her secret identity to himself. He promises to do both.
Eventually, Iolaus and Jason come around to not wanting to hunt the Hind anymore. The guys work together to set a trap for the hunters to trick them into thinking the Hind is already dead. The Hind assists them by letting Hercules take one of her horns, which she assures him will grow back. Hercules and friends make a dirt outline of the Hind to fool the hunters into thinking she was burnt to a crisp. Along with the horn Hercules gives them, they fall for the guy's ruse and leave the forest. Later, the Hind comes to visit Hercules in her human form, the beautiful Helene, to thank his friends and him for their help.
