Jason sets out with Hercules and Iolaus to hunt down the giantess Galinthia, who has been attacking travelers on the road to Corinth to get the young Prince's attention. Galinthia holds a serious grudge against Jason's late father Aeson. She plans to take her frustrations out by killing his son. With the help of Balian, the Captain of the Corinthian Guards, the guys capture Galinthia. Jason decrees that she will be executed as part of his coronation celebration. Hercules protests the execution, remembering now that Galinthia was once a normal woman. She helped Alcmene when she was in labor when no one else would because they were frightened of what Hera might do to them. For her loyalty to her friend, Alcmene, Galinthia was turned into a hideous giantess by Hera. Jason doesn't care as Balian persuades him that he needs to show his "strength" to his people by capturing his fathers’ sworn enemy. When Hercules tries a more aggressive approach, Iolaus and him are arrested by Balian for attempting to "attack" the crowned Prince of Corinth.
While in the castle dungeon, Hercules persuades Galinthia she has to leave the area for her own safety if he can break her out. When Jason comes to the dungeon with Balian and some of his soldiers, Galinthia thinks Hercules has set her up. She manages to free herself, but takes Iolaus as a hostage to insure her safe escape. Hercules and Jason make amends. They rescue Iolaus. Galinthia finally remembers who Hercules is. Jason decides to show her mercy as long as she leaves Corinth. Later, Jason is finally crowned King of Corinth in a grand ceremony at the royal palace.
