The Telequire Amazons bring Queen Cyane to the academy as it was her last wish before falling into a deep, near-death sleep. Lilith, Iolaus, and Simula watch as Hercules connects with Cyane through a magical aura that was placed around her to keep her body safe. When touching the aura, Hercules receives jolts that trigger past memories. All the memories are hints that Cyane is giving to him so he can try and piece together how to bring her out of the near-death state. Hercules finally pieces everything together. It turns out that Cyane has been drugged by one of her Amazon sisters.
Meanwhile, the other cadets learn that a rival Amazon tribe led by Queen Kinta is out to destroy Cyane, and they are coming to the academy to launch an all-out attack. Hercules and Cheiron master a plan to find the guilty party by claiming to have a cure. One of the Amazons then tries to kill Cyane. It turns out the turncoat was a spy sent by Kinta to assassinate Cyane so her tribe would be weakened when they attacked. Cheiron makes a cure from the poison and some other herbs. With Cyane feeling better, the cadets and Amazons stand ready to fight Kinta and her tribe when they arrive outside the gates of the academy. After Kinta and her Amazons see that Cyane is alive and well, they decide to retreat.
