2007 NBA Draft Prospects

Underclassmen Who Have Declared

Alphabetical
Final List Submitted to the NBA

  • Arron Afflalo 6-5/215 (UCLA-junior)
He also declared last year, so he's in to stay this year. He's looking at the second round unless he has a stellar pre-draft camp/workouts.
  • Shagari Alleyne 7-3/270 (Manhattan-senior with eligibility)
  • Corey Brewer 6-8/185 (Florida-junior)
He's looking like high lottery stuff.
  • Dwight Brewington 6-5/190 (Liberty-junior)
  • Wilson Chandler 6-7/230 (DePaul-soph)
  • Dan Coleman 6-9/225 (Minnesota-junior)
  • Mike Conley 6-1/180 (Ohio State-freshman)
Lottery? Will he return next year? Only time will tell.
  • Daequan Cook 6-5/210 (Ohio State-freshman)
Could be a first rounder. But nothing special.
  • Javaris Crittenton 6-5/195 (Georgia Tech.-freshman)
He becomes one of the top PG prospects in the draft after declaring early.
  • Jameson Curry 6-3/171 (Oklahoma State-junior)
  • Glen Davis 6-8/280 (LSU-junior)
Doesn't bring anything new to the table, but his big body is draftable.
  • Kevin Durant 6-10/220 (Texas-freshman)
The only question about this future ROY is whether or not he wiill be known as the guy drafted AFTER Greg Oden. We're not talking Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan or anything, just that this guy is something special.
  • Jeff Green6-8/235 (Georgetown-junior)
  • Taurean Green 6-0/177 (Florida-junior)
  • Spencer Hawes 7-0/250 (Washington-freshman)
A seven footer that can actually play will do wonders for his draft status. Think of some of the other recent lottery big men and tell me where he rates: Patrick O'Bryant, Rafael Araujo, Andris Biedrins, Chris Kaman, Robert Swift, Darko Milicic and don't forget the Kandi Man.
  • Al Horford 6-9/245 (Florida-junior)
I don't feel that he actually has the stuff to be called a high lottery pick right now. He will be a good player, but not a superstar. Again, he does a lot of things well, but is more of a complementary player.
  • Robert Earl Johnson 6-7 (Clinton JC, SC-freshman)
  • Kellen Lee (Los Angelese City College-soph.)
  • Dominic McGuire 6-8/210 (Fresno State-junior)
  • Josh McRoberts 6-10/240 (Duke-soph.)
He has signed an agent so he's in. He's by no means a strong or solid pick, and should be concentrating on getting into the first round by showing heart and commitment.
  • Joakim Noah 6-11/230 (Florida-junior)
He's one of three similarly talented Florida players that will be jockeying for position in the mid-lottery. He should come out on top of this bunch though with Brewer and Horford close behind.
  • Greg Oden 7-0/250 (Ohio State-freshman)
If you haven't heard of him...where have you been? Until someone...anyone...anywhere...says otherwise, he's going number one.
  • Kendaris Pelton 6-6 (Southern Miss.-junior)
  • Bruce Price 6-3 (Tenn. State-junior)
  • Gabe Pruitt 6-4/170 (USC-junior)
  • Ramon Sessions 6-3/190 (Nevada-junior)
  • Jason Smith 7-0/240 (Colorado State-junior)
Once again, you can't teach height. Just based on that alone he's a first rounder.
  • Rodney StuckeyHe's moving on up and be getting some serious first round looks.
  • Marcus Williams 6-7/207 (Arizona-soph.)
He has signed an agent, so he will be trying his best to get first round money.
  • Sean Williams 6-10/235 (Boston College-junior)
He was kicked out of Boston College for marijuana related issues after leading the nation in blocks. He has no choice but to go pro, but we're not sure if he can hear his name called on draft day just yet.
  • Brandan Wright 6-10/210 (UNC-freshman)
  • Julian Wright 6-8/225 (Kansas-soph.)
    He's hoping for the lottery.
  • Nick Young 6-6/200 (USC-junior)
He has hired an agent and is in. Most think he's a first rounder, but his status is still up in the air in my book. He has a lot of potential, and one of the better mid-range shots in the draft, but he could still not have an NBA game.
  • Thaddeus Young 6-8/217 (Georgia Tech-freshman)

Under 21 International Players

Who have declared

  • Ralfi Silva Ansaloni 7-0 (Brazil)
  • Stanko Barac 7-1/220 (Bosnia)
  • Marco Belinelli 6-6/200 (Italy)
  • Kyrylo Fesenko7-0/240 (Ukraine)
  • Petteri Koponen 6-4/195 (Finland)
  • Yi Jianlian 7-0/230 (China)
The most marketable and bankable international prospect in the draft. He will be in the lottery.
  • Artem Zabelin 7-1/210 (Russia)
A raw talent still years away will make him a possible second rounder.

Seniors

by rank
  1. Acie Law 6-3/185 (Texas A&M)
The scarcity of PGs in this draft make him the best senior prospect out there, and a possible lottery pick.
  2. Al Thornton 6-8/220 (Florida State)
Thornton has impressed teams in this draft season and has probably solidified his spot in the lottery. The question about Thornton is whether or not he has peaked.
  3. Derrick Byars 6-7/225 (Vanderbilt)
Both Byars and Almond are inching up draft boards as they demonstrate that they can help teams in the NBA right away.
  4. Morris Almond 6-6/214 (Rice)
He is a very similar player to Byars, but not quite as well-rounded, and a better shooter.
  5. Aaron Gray 7-1/280 (Pittsburgh)
I say this every year about someone...you can't teach height.
  6. Aaron Brooks 5-11/160 (Oregon)
