(lack of supply. can only
find them for at least $500.)
4. "Generations" Klingon BOP ( what, no movable wings? bah!)
5. Borg Cube (looks like a Christmas ornament; makes me giggle)
Favorites:
1. Lore = Great details and i have this figure still in the package.
2. Type 1 Phaser = Great sounds and it looks like the one on TV.
3. Romulan = Nice paint job.
4. The Gold Enterprise =It looks so cool when the sun shines on it.
5. Admiral McCoy = Nice figure to keep in the package.

Name Nick H
Best:
1. Dr. McCoy (from the movie series. A very good likeness.)
2. Commander Kruge (again, from the movie series. And for the same
reason.)
3. Admiral Riker (my favorite character from my favorite episode.)
4. Ambassador Sarek (what can I say? I love the figure!)
5.Grand Nagus Zek (an excellent attention to detail.)
Worst:
1. Tom Paris Mutated (an ugly figure. What are you supposed to do with
him?)
2. Lt. Seska (too dainty of a figure. She can't even hold her phaser!)
3. Lt Sulu (from the movie series. It doesn't even look like George
Takei.)
4. Seska as a Cardassian (an ugly AND dainty figure. What am I to do?)
5. Kurn (what a drab and colorless figure. Not to mention U-G-L-Y!)
Daryl
Best:
1.The TNG Bridge, Enterprise D w/Battle Dammage, Eneterprise E,
Enginearing, And the shuttles
2.Generations Kirk, TNG Spock, TNG McCoy, TNG Scotty,1701 3-pack and
The the all the TNG Figuers.
3.First Contact action Figuers. Dr. Crusher's Hair is actually a
redish
brown but in First contact and Inserection she has blond hair, but I
still think the 6in action figuers are cool.
4.Ensign Ro Laron and Ensign Wesely Crusher
5.Admiral Whilam T. Riker (from all good things..) Lt.Tom Riker was
cool.
WORST:
1. All transporter figuers they suck!
2. All 7in space talk figuers.BORING!
3.The Borg Queen It should have been a 6in figure.
4.Star Trek the Motion Picture figuers they looked better in the 2nd
and
other feather films.
5.The Voyager figuer of Neleix in sarfleet Uniform, I mean the It was
just Crappy.
Top 5 BEST:
1. Species 8472 - prefect from top to bottom, even if you had to buy
another Harry Kim with it.
2. The Jem'Hadar - Great detail, paint for the skin could've been a
shade darker.
3. Sarek & Harry Mudd - From day one I loved these figures. Great
likeness!
4. Dathon & Nausicaan - Another tie, Playmates were at the top of
their game with these figures.
5. Gorn & Mugato - TOS best aliens Playmates made. Now make that
M-113 Salt Vampire, dang it!
Top 5 WORST:
1. Kang (Blood Oath) - A great Trek legend, but this figure is a
disgrace!
2. Garak - My fav from DS9, why did they make him a dwarf? Another
missed opp.
3. Keiko O'Brien - How long did we all wait for this one? Huge
disappointment!!!
4. Mutated Paris & Cardiassian Seska - Nuf said!
5. 1st series Ferengi - You can't even put this guys right arm down.
Compared to Quark,Rom,and Zek this guy rates a D+.
Ed, at dathon0711@yahoo.com
Best 5 Figures
1. Generations Worf. Even though the uniform isn't quite right, he
isn't doing the splits or showing his teeth. He fits in with my other
figures better than the first series Worf.
2. Nurse Chapel. Great uniform, great likeness, great HAIR!
3. Borg Queen. Great pose, awesome head tubes and her torso is
removeable, just like in the movie! (Playmates out did themselves on
this one!)
4. Dax in TNG uniform. She just looks so good in it!
5. All AGT figures. WOW! What classics. All very well done. Picard
has a cool hat, Data has a styling jacket, Riker in an admiral's uniform
(can be used as a stand-in for other admirals), Geordi has eyes (!), Worf
doesn't look old enough, but he's still cool, and Crusher in a red
uniform!
Worst 5 Figures
1. Keiko O'Brian. I'm glad they finally made her, but it looks like
she's airing out her armpits and she won't stop. Also, couldn't they
have put her in a more flattering outfit than straight black???
2. Kirk and Spock from "City on the Edge of Forever". They have no
arm and leg joints. Kirk is almost squating and Spock will forever be
waving down a taxi.
3. Kes. I really love the character. Her figure would probably make
my top 5 list if it wasn't for the fact that playmates overlooked one
important detail. She doesn't have a COMM badge!!!!!!
4. Those stupid 2 & 3 packs. I am a loyal ST figure fan who has
almost
every figure playmates has produced. Is it fair that they package a new
figure in with one that has already been released (or a REPAINT!!!) and
then severely overprice them??? Way to rip people off
playmates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5. Same body & different head figures. Is Playmates really that
cheap that they have to use the same mold for multiple characters? Lets
see......Kim, Chackotay, Neelix, Sisko and Calhoun all have the same
body, as do Troi, Dax and Crusher, Barclay, Bashir and Wesley, Sisko, Q,
Data and LaForge, Seska, Janeway, Crusher and Toress, Picard and Bashir,
O'Brian and T. Riker, LaForge and O'Brian, Paris, Carey, The Doctor and
Tuvok, Kirk and Picard, Saavik and Janeway, Capel, Rand and Dax, Shall I
go on...............AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Favourite Star Trek 5" Figures
1. Dr. Crusher (In blue Lab coat; Insurrection; Duty
Uniform; Generation;
AGT; Cadet)
2. Lt. Jadzia Dax in DS9 Uniform...One of the best figures
produced..great likeness
3. Deanna Troi in 6th Season Uniform....really great...love the
great likeness
4. Seven of Nine in silver uniform
5. All DS9 Space Station Crew / Voyager Crew
Worst
1. Dr. Crusher First Contact Edition...what's with the Red
Hair....she's
blond not ginger
2. Dr. Soran...everywhere I go he is there on a shelf at less than
half price
3. Seven of Nine in partial Borg outfit....why didn't Playmates
create here in full Borg outfit??
4. Lt. Yar from "Yesterday's Enterprise"...she did not have that
type of Collar on TV!
5. Dr. Kathrine Pulaski....what's with her uniform? she did not
have that type of uniform on the series!
Finbarr O'Neill
Top 5
1. Vina (best figure of the Trek line: great pose and spectacular
details)
2. Ilia (I waited years for this figure and was not disappointed, it
was about time that Playmate recapture 18 years later that female icon
from the Trek universe, thank you!)
3. Kira Nerys (outstanding face and uniform likeness, very very good)
4. The Talosian (again the likeness to the original is exceptional)
5. Guinan (both version, Tng and Generation, really looks like Whoopi
Goldberg!)
2 huge deceptions & 3 bad figures
1. Dr.Pulaski / That one is a insult to every Pulaski fan, regardless
of the good likeness of her face, they totally screw up one of the most
awaited figure by releasing her in a uniform that she never wore and a
body that she couldn’t possibly have. What a disappointment!
2. Kes / Poor Kes! she deserve better than that horrible makeup job,
that pink lipstick makes her look like Barbie's little sister!
3. Capt. Pike / Could be based on any Gi-joe from the 1950's,
insulting!
4. Dr. Crusher in 1940's attire/ Ooolala! a drag queen without
dentures!
5. Janice Rand/ Just an other victim of a bad makeup brush! A clown in
mini skirt with huge thighs, frightening!
Best of all time
1.The Ferengi ( TNG series 1)
2.Gowron
3.Locutus or Q in Judges Robe
4.Lt. Tom Riker
5.The Grand Nagus Zek or the Mugato
Worst of all time
1.Tom Paris Mutated (I see it anywhere I go)
2.Seska as Cardassian (almost as dumb as #1)
3.The Generation figures except for Lursa and Betor
4.Cadet Figures
5.Overpriced exclusives like target's Picard 9" for 27.99
1.Lt. Commander Deanna Troi in sixth season uniform (It's a great
likness of the character, I just love her!)
2.Q in Judges Robe (It just looks cool)
3.First Season Borg
4.Commander Sela
5.Lt. Barclay (His hands are big, but I still like him)
Worst
1.First Season Counselor Deanna Troi (All I can say is U-GL-Y)
2.Second Edition Borg (The metal is so cheap and tacky)
3.Q (His legs get too skinny at the bottom)
4.Second Season Riker (What's with the rips and tears)
5.Lt. Natasha Yar (HOLY HANDS)
Here is my top 5 Star Trek Figures:
1. The 5 inch movie uniform figures. (They have neat Phaser Rifles, but
they need to make a Geordi).
2. Sisko with bald head. Great facial detail, the arms may be a bit
short,
but at least he dosen't come with a 'Lightsaber' phaser.
3. First series Picard. The Jacket looks cool(should be removable
though)
nice 'cricket' type one phaser, and a cool 'Engage' gesture.
4.Enterprise E from Insurrection. It isn't an action figure, but, hey,
it
looks like the big E! The dish at the front may be red instead of gold,
but
its still a neat replica! The captains yacht looks cool, too.
5. 6 inch combat figure Riker. really looks like Riker! The rifle
cant be removed from his hands, but the hand phaser looks neat on movie
Worf
Here are my worst 5 Star Trek figures:
1.All the next Generation Worfs. Worf hardly ever bares his teeth, so
why
should his figures?
2.Doctor Crusher and Counselor Troi in movie uniform. Crusher has
blond hair, not ginger, in FC and INS. And they got Troi's hair all wrong!
And her cheeks are too red! Hello, Playmates?!
3. Mirror Spock. I'm seeing him everywhere i go, for gods sake!
4.Kirk in casual attire. I ordered him looking for a good star trek
figure.
do i get it? Noooo. instead, i get this...this...this...thing! Where the
hell did those head wrinkles come from? He never had them in the series!
5. 1st series Gowron. My figure is cross eyed! and again, he hardly
ever
bares his teeth!
Tom Bridger TOMBQuack@aol.com
Best figures:
1. Kira from DS9: Great overall likeness, very poseable.
2. Saavik from Wrath of Khan: She was my favorite female from my
favorite Star Trek Movie
3. Deanna Troi as Durango: useless from a playability standpoint, but
very cute and well done.
4. Tasha Yar: The coolest character next to Worf in Next Generation,
and they kill her off in the stupidest manner possible.
Worst Figures:
1. Luxanna Troi: Totally unposable blob of plastic
2. 7 of 9 Target Exclusive: Too dainty and not posable. Looks like
Barbie in a wetsuit.
3. Vash: Looks like a librarian at a shopping mall. Hairstyle not her
usual look.
1) Worf in Rescue Outfit - a really cool figure that was asking to be
opened! The backpack and pose are excellent. He wore this uniform in 2
episodes of TNG - 'Chain of Command' & 'Birthright', so he was worth
doing.
Now where's a Picard & Crusher figure in the same outfit?
2) Q in Judges Robes - I love the colour, and the facial expression.
3) LaForge with removeable visor - such a cool idea, and quite
possibly the
best Geordi figure. They should have paid this amount of detail to every
figure.
4) Troi in TNG 6th season uniform - I waited so long for her, and was
not disappointed. Crusher/Dax in duty uniform use the same body as well,
so they are cool too.
5) Captain Scott - well, because Scotty's Scotty!
Just to rub it in, I'll add Red Data because Data looks cool in red.
The weakest figures in my opinion:
1) LaForge as Tarchannen III alien - the translucent one is much
better.
2) 1st series Riker - why oh why the rips? He's not action man for
crying out loud! Do him again Playmates.
3) Tom Paris mutated - Larry Brooks summed him up so well by calling
him a 'fish in jammies' - I only bought him to complete my collection.
4) The Traveller - BORING (although the computer station accessory is
neat!)
5) The Cadets - did we really need them?
M. Fincham: mattfincham@compuserve.com
Top Five
1. All TNG. especially the main crew. Well, almost all TNG
2. One word: Shuttlecrafts. They're the best vehicles made for the
action figures (except for a generic "spaceship" I got from Big Lots.)
3. Transporter
4. Twin packs. I got the one from Corbumite, and I hope they make one
with Rand, Chapel, and Uhura and call it "The Women of the Original
series." Rand is my favorite (and oldest) action figure. She has a lot of
wear on the paint from so many missions.
5: Target exclusives.
Worst Five
1. 9"
2. First contact
3. all 6" figures. Playmates wasd real stupid to make those. They just
don't fit in with the others.
4. ones with cd roms
5. any that can't hold accesories.
Top 5
1. 12" Mr. Spock from Target. (I love his little lytherette he comes
with. Fully articulated to boot. And, the attention to detail makes it
great for display.)
2. All the MEGO original series figures. ( I love Uhura's little
boots.)
3. Ambassador Sarek (between the robes and the fact that Sarek is an
all time fave character, I'd have to say that this one kicks ass!)
4. 9" Nurse Christine Chapel doll ( The likeness is really good on
this one)
5.Any Saavik figurine.( She's my all time fave character besides from
Spock. I don't know anyone who happens to have this one, though. ST:II
figs. are kinda hard to find sometimes.)
Worst Five:
1. First and foremost, any of the Transporter Figs. ( they are totally
worthless to play with. Please, for garsh-sakes, glitter? Excecpt for
the Spock fig. they are all uuugly.)
2. "The Corbomite Maneuver" playset. ( Hello? Can we say action figure
Jenny Craig for Kirk? And what the Hell is that little plastic midget
thing next to him?)
3. "A Fistful of Datas" playset. ( Again another stupid plastic midget
to contend with.)
4.Generations figures ( I guess the fact that I really wasn't thrilled
by the movie makes me a bit miffed about the toys. Or maybe they are
just ugly. You decide)
5.Captain Calhoun figurine( I loved the books, but this special
edition
toy is a piece of crap. He may have the scar and the purple eyes, but
the dashing look is definantly NOT there.)
Alison Pascal: alipascal@home.com
Top Five:
1. Vina (just look at her)
2. Laforge with removable visor (all of them should have been made
this way)
3. Romulan (why didn't Galoob ever release their Romulan
prototype!?!?)
4. Nurse Chapel (I've got a headache, better go to sick bay)
5. 9" Q in judges robes (the master of disaster, with makeup!)
Worst Five:
1. Transporter figures (glitter? no, seriously. glitter???)
2. The brown plastic kid that came with Sheriff Worf
3. Kirk with Environmental suit (ugly and without special features)
4. Vorgon (character had a lot of potential)
5. The insertion of fuzzy tribbles with some Warp Factor Series One
Figures (either include them in every package or not at all, collecing the
whole line was already complicated by adding cards then pog's ... )
will2me@home.com
Best
1. All First Contact - great faces and uniforms
2. DS9 first series - I just like DS9 alot!
3. DS9's w/sets (Sisko w/chair) - great likeness, but needed some
weapons
or something
4. 2nd edition Sisko (first bald one) - great phaser
5. Trials and Tribs Bashir - his hair is groovy!!!
Worst
1. Generations - hello???
2. LaForge and Paris as aliens - just plain ugly!
3. Any figure who can't hold on to stuff - Old GI Joes were great at
this
4. Any figure 9" or latter - Doesn't Mattel make Barbie? cause that's
what
they look like
5. Riker w/ torn uniform - what's up with that?
Mike dessero@kahuna.sdsu.edu
Best
1. Guinan (Next Gen version) Really looks like Whoopi Goldberg!
2. The Doctor from Voyager
3. Quark good likeness!
4. Odo
5. Ensign Ro Laren
Worst
1. Any "variant" figure Such as Picard as Dixon hill, Crossover
Sisko, or
Chacotay as Maquis
2. Overpriced exclusive figures, such as dress uniform Dax, Security
Neelix,
or Transporter series Yar
3. All Transporter figures. Daft idea, to resell using existing
moulds.
Transporter base wasted opportunity.
4. "One off twits" The Vorgon or The Nausican. A character has to
appear at
least twice before I'll by them. For example, the next gen version of
Scotty
includes all his previous appearances. I.E, he is well known.
5. Movie reissues of the main characters. Picard from Generations,
Picard from
First Contact, Picard from Insurrection Picard from...
Thunderbird-2@kinera.freeserve.co.uk
Best
1. Classic Bridge Set (Hard to find figures with great likenesses, and
great
accesories. What more could you want?)
2. Captain Scott (Great with TNG and TOS figures. Right in there
either
way.)
3. Q in Judges Robe (Q the way he was meant to be seen, not in some
crappy
TNG uniform.)
4. Generations Line (Now here, we've got some great detail and
accesories
not to mention CHARACTERS. Who cares about the uniforms?)
5. Locutus ('Nuff said!)
Worst
1. Dr. Soran (Playmates has screwed up one of the best badguys of all
times.
No scar or jacket on this figure!)
2. Dr. Crusher from Generations (One of two exceptions from the
Generations
line, she looks like an old lady who went overboard on the makeup.)
3. 1701 3 Pack (Who needs a fat Picard, a wierd looking Yar, and... I
don't even know who Barclay is!)
4. Trelane (What's he doing, a ballet?)
5. Ensign Wesely Crusher (it doesn't even look like him!)
Marshall H. figureman2@aol.com
Best
1. Professor Data, "All Good Things" -- well built, nice outfit and
accessories, and great display stand
2. Ensign Ro Laren -- nice likeness of a great Trek character
3. Lwaxana Troi -- a very nice outfit, as well as a good likeness to
the character
4. Seska (both figures) -- Both the Bajoran and Cardassian Seskas were
very nicely done
5. All other "All Good Things" figures -- I only have Data, but from
what I've seen, the others look great
Worst
1. Worf in 19th Century outfit -- legs and arms don't move, and I just
don't like it
2. Geordi as "Identity Crisis" alien -- I never got it, and I'm glad
that
I didn't.
3. Admiral McCoy -- I did get this one, and it isn't that bad, but it
isn't that great
4. Data as Romulan -- I got tired of seeing it at the stores, and I
never
did get it.
5. Esoqq -- I don't have this one, but I've seen pictures of it, and
it doesn't look that great
Ross rossvoyager@yahoo.com
Top Five (in no particular order):
1. Mirror Spock. Sure, it was easy to get sick of seeing the figure
on every rack, everywhere I went. All the same, this stands out as a well
sculpted--and, more importantly--articulated figure. The attention to
detail concerning the sash around his belt was great, but it was the knife
that got me.
2. Cadets Data, Riker, Picard and Beverly. Data, because, well,
Data's Data no
matter what, and it can easily pass as Covert Ops Data. Shaved Riker and
Picard with hair...? Come on! How is this not cool?! And if they're
cool,
then Beverly is...yup, hot. Makes me wonder if there are any pictures
from
Gates McFadden's youth laying around somewhere..
3. Target Exclusives. They make me laugh. Seriously. I mean, the
first set was
okay ("Where No Man Has Gone Before" Kirk, Spock, Scotty and Sulu), but
after
that? Let's see: The Doctor and Harry Kim, who came out of the blue
clear sky
as the stragest release of main characters in normal appearances of all
time,
Spock and Chekov of all people in Environmental Suits, and, to top it all
off,
Sulu and Chekov to round out the Transporter line, whose success is
debatable
at best anyway. I love it! (Who negotiates these things, anyway?)
4.First Series Captain Picard in Jacket. I love the jacket, I love
the figure.
Neat little "Engage" gesture works because it only appears on this one
figure.
And the pants are different from the standard Starfleet Uniform Pants
mold,
too! One of few figures to come with the Type I instead of II phaser,
Picard
just plain kicks ass!
5.Mailaway Sisko. Because this is what exclusives are all about:
Hyped for over
a year, released in such small quantities that, once finally released, is
unavailable by the Christmas three months after the overdue release. I'm
STILL
pissed about that, and that I don't have one, and that if and when I ever
do,
it's gonna cost me nearly a hundred dollars.
Favorite
1. Vina (Most I've paid for an individual fig)
2. Locutus (Look at the facial expression)
3. TOS Set (with a cardboard bridge, yet!)
4. Darmok (Perfect likeness, fun accessories)
5. Odo (But, I'd prefer one with a collar)
Honorable Mention - Pure Fun Award:
Mugato and Gorn (Hey, they are SOOOOO CUTE!)
Worst
1. Geordi as Alien (Yeah, That'll sell!)
2. O'Brien from 'Tribbles' (Because it was rare, and they promised
they
wouldn't)
3. Tapestry Picard (Picard head on a fat-Kirk body!?!)
4. Corbomite Manever set (2 UNPOSEABLE 'ACTION' FIGURES!? Kirk gets a
belt.)
5. Tom Paris as 'Fishguy' (Wossop wit dat?)
Better Never Than Late Award
Garak (I love the guy, but he's got some stumpy legs there and an UUUGlee
outfit! He's supposed to be a tailor fer Krissakes!)
I like to collect the 9" figures so my top five will deal with them.
1. 9" Gul Dukat (I think this guy is one of the best Star Trek
villians of all.)
2. 9" Romulan (I always wanted a Romulan in 9")
3. 9" Captain Kirk in movie uniform (Generations)
4. 9" Borg (Looks just like the one from the TV series.)
5. 9" Deana Troi (One of only a few 9" figures with "hair" not molded
plastic, and very well made indeed.)
1. Dax in Starfleet Uniform, fairly well done and no one has ever
looked as good in the best uniform from the Star Trek universe as Lt. Dax.
2. Dax in DS9 Uniform, may not be as good as the Star Fleet duty, but
its still Dax.
3. 9" 7 of 9, a very good likeness in most respects and a high quality
figure, like most of the 9" series
4. Lt. Cmmr. Jadzia Dax in the new uniform, the best likeness of Dax,
even if it is the worst uniform
Jeremy Scott
1. Q (cause he's cool)
2.McCoy (Put together well, you can play baseball with him and he
still won't brake)
3. Ro (good likeness)
4.Dax
5. Barclay
Worst
1. Laxwana Troi ( Just the mention of her name sends shivers
down my spine)
2. Deanna Troi FS (to much make-up, teensy-tiny hands,and a head that
looks like it will fall off any second)
3.Picard (he's ugly!)
4. Gul Dukat (This man can't be backwards!)
5. DS9 Q ( Not that I dislike him, but he's shorter then the
origanals)
1.) Guinan as gloria from "clues" -- Great facial features and well
sculpted body
2.) Transporter figures -- clever and unique idea
3.) Ensign Ro Laren -- good face and body
4.) Ambassador Spock -- Good details
5.) Beverly Howard Crusher -- Very good facial and hair details.
Josh Raymond janeway2000@juno.com
Favorite Figures(Because I could get them at or near retail)
1) Generations Bridge Crew(Use your imagination, they're from an
alternate universe)
2)First Contact and other 6" figures (they've all look
ed good up to now.
3)Classic Trek figures (I grew up with the 1st show)
4)Trials and Tribblelations 5" figures
5)Dathon,DS9 Riker, 6th season Troi, labcoat Crusher,
and duty uniform Picard
Worst Figures they've made in my opinion.
1) Vash-They should've used her likeness from the first episode we saw
her in.
2)Q-For the most part, I really hate Q and what I think he represents.
3)Borg-They should've come with different, attachable fore arms so
they don't all look alike.
4)Vorgon
5)Kurn-they should've made him look like a klingon warrior.
Best
1. 9" 7 of 9 (because I loooove her)
2. 5" Dax (don't know, just a good likeness)
3. 9" Deanna Troi (not a great likeness but good hair)
4. 5" Beverly Howard (I love the face & hair on this one!)
Worst
1. most bloody Data's( there's just tooooo many of him)
2. 9" Dax (it's NOT Dax)
3. 5" limiteds (they all suck, and they're wrong)
4. 5" Intendant Kira (now here's the figures you get when you don't
try at all)
ingo@ix.net.au
Best:
1. The Borg (Series I and II); well-detailed
2. Data from "Chain of Command Part II" (Mislabled "from Redemption")
- limited edition and I have it!
3. Troi in 6th Season Uniform (A Troi that's more ready for action)
4. Geordi La Forge (Series I) (I have one with a removable VISOR!)
5. Ambassador Spock (Excellent Job on that one!)
Worst:
1. The "Generations" line (Playmates got lazy doing them without the
joints, probably to go with the badness of the movie.)
2. Star Trek TOS Movie series (Why did they go with "Star Trek: The
Motion Picture?" Those uniforms were like pajamas!)
3. Troi (Series I and II); overdid makeup
4. Geordi as Tarchannen III alien (an excuse to make a Geordi figure)
5. Figures related to Dixon Hill (why did they even BOTHER?!)
Best
1. Classic crew set ( I Love the Original Series)
2. The Gorn ( cool looking figure)
3. The 1701 set ( Finally it is easier to get hard to get figures)
4.Kirk in Casual Attire ( my Favorite Uniform)
5. Any Q Figure (I Like Q)
Worst
1.Tom Paris Mutated (No explianation needed)
2.Geordi as Alien (just a Dumb figure)
3.Generations line (they didn't even wear that uniform)
4.Riker in second season uniform (they should have made him w/out a
beard
5.Ilia ( did we really need her?)
CHATER1701@aol.com
Best:
1. 9 inch Dax from Trials and Tribbleations (Love Dax to death!!)
2. 9 Inch Seven of Nine (If I could get her & Dax in the same room...)
3. The First Contact figures (x-cept Cochraine & Lily) although Bev &
Deanna don't turn heads.
4. Kira Intendent, nice likeness but legs don't bend (what's up
Playmates!!)
5. Tie between Ro Laren & Lt. Tasha Yar, Tasha looks a little buff,
and has large..hands.
Worst:
1. 1701 three pack what's the purpose!!!
2. Voyager females: same body, different color made with soft plastic.
3. 9 inch Picard and Riker Spencer's exclusives: too expensive and why
not Lt. Torres & Tora Ziyal or someone who does not have a figure?
4. Leeta: has a small head and her legs & arms don't bend (Yo
Playmates!!!)
5. Generations Kirk in a Space suit: Was I in the bathroom when this
was on? Should have made Capt. Harriman or Ensign Sulu. Wake up!
Best:
1. Keiko (They finally made her, but I wish she came with Molly)
2. All "All Good Things..." people (They come with cool accessories)
3. Vorgon (Made really well and has good accessories)
4. Lursa & Betor (The best Klingons)
5. Vina (Great)
Worst:
1. Generations people (wrong uniform)
2. People who can't sit down (they're like statues)
3. Deanna's (too much make-up and are always hunched over)
4. Women with small hands (they always drop their accessories, Guinan
always drops her tray)

uniforms are disgusting)
Best
1. Classic crew set ( I love the Original Series)

Worst
1.Tom Paris Mutated ( no explination needed )
2.Geordi as Alien ( just a dumb figure )
3.Generations line ( they didn't even wear that uniform)
4.Riker in second season uniform ( they should have made him w\out a
beard)

Top 5
1. Lore (great detail to the eyes, even though they gave him a brief
case that wasn't seen in the show episode)
2. 7of9 (I don't "own" her yet, but I saw her in an up and coming
product line and she looks shag-a-delic baby!)
3. Data in the DS9 Jumpsuit (I htink this was Playmate's way of
atoning for their screwing up of the GENERATIONS line with the corney
outfits)
4. Janeway (Her skin looks cool, not all painted like the older
figures... ok so what if she has the same body mold as all the other
females)
5. Voyager Ship (Gene Roddenberry once said that a ship has its own
personality, and I believe that this is true. I also love that it has the
nacelle motorization!)
Worst 5:
1. Deanna Troi figures (small hands, and it looks like an Avon lady
was shot with a photon torpeedo two inches from Deanna's face)
2. Riker in the rpped uniform (do you have any idea how wierd it looks
having the bridge playset set up in my den, and having Riker in the chair
next to Picard, with a hunk of his "chest-flesh" showing??!!)
3. Ferengi (he looks weird)
4. Tom Paris (I thought his hair was red, not white)
5. The Soverign Class ENTERPRISE, circa FIRST CONTACT (ok, it doesn't
look like the one in the movie, it has a shuttle bay on the bottom, it has
a cloking device, and the noises it makes take to long... ehBeep, ehbeep,
ehbeep, ehbeep- a chhuum chum cgum, a chhuum chum chum)

1.Geordi as Tarchannen alien-Only a completist would buy one
2.Data from Redemption-if you can't do it right-don't do it at all
3.Gens Kirk in Space suit-this was so bad it was cut-so should the
figure
4.Prof. Data-he was silly in the show and silly as a figure

BSTREK1
Best

2.Picard as Dixon Hill: best 5" Picard face
3.Picard from First Contact: Great figure

4.Beverly Crusher from First Contact: once again, who is this?
5.any figures being sold for over $50 when the're worth $15
Barbicon@hotmail.com
1) Classic movie series- Khan, Mc Coy, and the Klingon with hair make
this line rock. Should've made more...
2) Vina- viva la Vina
3) Picard from "All good Things"-
1. Martia. Likeness is excellent. Playmates should do more of the
cool-looking characters, no mater how small their role. Look at what it
does for Star Wars.
2. Cadet Wesley--If only the writers took as much care with the
character as the sculptor did.
3. Tie: Any figure of Dax and Kira--we had to wait until wave two for
any figure of the second female regular in TNG. With DS9 Playmates gave
us both of them in wave one.
4. Cardassian Seska--those idiots killed her on the show, thank god
that didn't stop playmates from immortalizing one of Star Trek's greatest
villainesses(now if they'll just get that 5-inch Borg Queen made!) And
that was a good likeness of Martha Hackett!
5. General Chang. What can I say except that they should make every
klingon character that ever was into a figure(Starting with DS9 Alexander
and General Martog)
Best:
1) Dathon w/space cap (because I have one and most people don't)
2) Gorn (great likeness, I would like to see a 9" figure)
3) Esoqq (ditto)
4) 9" "Piece of the Action" (great outfits nice packaging)
5) 12" Masterpiece edition (great likeness, great packaging)
WORST:
1) 1701 series (If your going to make a limited figure at least make
newmolds.)
2) 9" Picard & Riker Spencer gifts exclusives(weak! They could have at
least made Riker with no facial hair and create new packaging)
3) Data as seen in "Redemption" (Data never wore a red uniform in
"Redemption".)
4) Generations figures (weak uniforms)
5) Starfleet academy figures (waste of plastic)
Jeproxako@msn.com
Best:
1. First Contact Crew (Best Likenesses yet, especially Picard, Troi,
and Worf. Too bad they don't fit in with the rest of the line.)
2. Vina the Orion Slave (Best 5" figure ever)
3. Admiral Riker (Best Riker to date)
4. Lt. Saavik (Just like Kirsty Alley!)
5. Elim Garak (Damn cool figure)
Worst:
1. Generations Crew (What were they thinking???)
2. Generations Kirk in Space Suit (Didn't even make the final cut,
plus he's really short)
3. Ensign Seska (Great character, lame figure)
4. Tapestry Picard (Two words. Too chubby.)
5. Tarchannen III Geordi (Translucent one is 100 x's better!)
Favorite
1. TOS Box Set w/ 7 TOS Crew Members: Complete, Limited, Very Cool

Figures
3. Tie: LE Crusher, McCoy, and O'Brien: Limited Editions

Century Outfit and Guinan: Pointless
2. Starfleet Academy Figures: All 4 of them are still on Shelves at
Toys R Us
3. 1701 Figures: Rip-Off, Better and Cheaper to Build
1. Koloth from Trials and Tribble-ations (has the best Goatee, better
than Sisko's)
2. Gorn Captain (Excellent as a 5",be better in 9" Doll)
3. Mugato (one of the best Playmates has done.)
4. Picard in Space Suit (the Best Picard Figure,I don't like they made
him a Statue)
5. Captain Scott from Relic's (Love him in Next Generation, but they
should made the Figure with an Arm Splint)
askdrj@mail.rapidramp.net
Best
1. Picard from Tapestry-he's worth a lot
2. Cadet Wesley Cruser-Real Sturdy
3. Ambassador Spock-Authentic Looking

Worst:
1. Generations Crew Members-What scene were those uniforms in?
2. All Women-Hands too small

4. Data as Romulan-too old
5. Any characters that were in an episode or movie for a few
minutes-pointless.
LABoy FADeen@Compuserve.com
Best
1) Dathon - incredible paint job on the head, and great body detail.
2) Scotty from "Relics" - Ditto, he looks alive on my shelf.
3) First Contact Troi & Crusher. Finally the ladies no longer have to
go hide.
4) Q in Judges Robe. Q as he should be.
5) Esoqq & Naussican. (applause) Thanks for these two great sculpts.
Bust:
1) Any figure without joints in the arms and legs.
2) Admiral McCoy - Did we really need 300,000 of them?
3) LaForge as Alien. Turd with blue pinstripes. Ditto for Paris as
frog.
4) Vash. Don't care for actress, character or figure.
5) Any "same body" repaint of a Klingon or Borg.
EDWWEBB@aol.com
Best
1. Q in Judge's Robes - I just love that outfit!
2. Lursa & B'Etor - I just love those outfits! Too bad they're dead,
but
you never know!
3. Tasha Yar (Yesterday's Enterprise) - I just can't help it 'cause I
have one!
4. Talosian Keeper - One of Classic Trek's best aliens!
5. Vina - Great outfit! Great color! Great pose!
Worst
1. All STNG crew in wrong uniforms from Generations, especially Worf
with a bad paint job, no sash, and he looks deformed!
2. Most regular crew figures with slightly different uniforms. What a
waste!
3. Female figures with bendable bare legs like Vash, Rand, Chapel. Not
very attractive! Also, Chapel & Rand's necks make them look ancient!
4. LaForge as Tarchannen III Alien - That brown is hideous! I hope the
new one is better.
5. Kirk in casual attire - The forehead lines are gross and his chest
in the v-neck of the shirt is not the same color as his skin!
1.tied for first is first contact Troi and Data : they are great
liknesses, espcially troi. Hi like her hair most. Data is my favorite
data made.
2. Hugh Borg : i am obsessed with borg. Hugh is my favorite
3. first Dr. Bashier : a good likeness and a doctor who will use a
phaser
as much as a medical triquarter
4. tied for third is Rom with nog and sherrif Worf with Alexadner :
two good likenesses. And i think it promotes a good influence for a father
to be seen with his son.
5. Cadet Wesley Crusher : I know he is a interstellar wuss , but i
like the toy.
Least
1. Kazon : what is this thing?
2. first and second Troi : I love the outfit, i hate the face and
hair.
3. DS9 Picard : need i say more?
4. Admiral McCoy : TOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5.any Generation movie toy exept 7th season data and geordi and
Guinan.
1) Ensign Ro (doesn't look much like her but they made her GORGEOUS!!!
She's my favorite character. Blast those Maquis! They took her away from
me!)
2) Locutus (Resistance is futile...Number One. So cool...)
3)Lwaxanna Troi ( Jean-Luc..Such naughty thoughts)
4)Q ("I'm disapointed in you Jean-Luc, I'm very disapointed. Hey,I'm
claustrophobic I don't like it in here!)
5)Tasha Yar (Alas, the terrible likeness. But what a honey in the
show.
But nothing compared to my beautiful, sassy,Ro.
Bottom 5
5)Every blasted Deanna Troi figure ever made!!! Beautiful lady,(But
nothing compared to Ro)Just the sculpters make her look weird. And why do
the writers always make her fall for the nerds?
4)Dr.Crusher figures. Another instance of a good looking lady just
ruined
by sculpters. Whoever did the First Contact figures did her face very
well but the hair needs work. Not red enough and she didn't wear that
style in the movie.(But she's nothing an camparison to my Ro)
3)All 'Classic' Trek and 'Voyager' figures.
2)All '1701' figures (You could send your children and your
grandchildren
through college with the money you spend on those.)
1)Wesley Crusher figures....astro geek,nerd,wuss,a couple of colorful
expressions I'm not allowed to say all wrapped up into one ugly,
unattractive blob of petrified cat spittle. Every episode I was hoping
for him to get nuked or something...Die Wesley!!!
1. The Entire First Contact Line - Cool figures, cool size, cool
film.
2. Captain Benjamin Sisko - great figure! Wonderful likeness
(although I had to give him eyebrows)
3. Elim Garak - the BESt character, and a good likeness
4. The Generations Line - It was kinda cool to see the uniforms that
never were
5. The Ds9 officers in TNG uniforms from Emisary. Unlike most
people, I LIKE seeing officers in varying uniforms (as long as it isn't
tedious). These characters appeared in these uniforms. But where's Sisko?
Least Favorite
1. Guinan - does she really need a tray of drinks?
2. Vorgon, Danthon, McCoy - I still find these on the Wal-mart shelf
3. Voyager Kes - I've seen toothpicks thicker than this.
4. Voyager Klingon Torres - looks like a rotting pile of for'shak (a
Klingon term).
5. TNG characters in DS9 suits when they don't belong in them
Favorite
1.Lwaxana Troi(Good likeness)
2.Major Kira Nerys(pretty face)
3.Deanna Troi 6th season (an almost exact likeness)
4.B'Etor
5.Miles O'Brien
Worst
1.Most Dr. Crusher figures(whats with the BROWN hair, such a beautiful
woman deserves better, the figures of her are a disgrace, she has BLONDE
hair in First Contact and RED in the series, come on Playmates,I know what
you're really capable of)
2.All Generations figures(I must have missed those uniforms in the
movie)
3.First Contact figures(I think the size and likeness are good, but I
think they need the movement in their elbows and knees,Please pay
attention to what your painting section are doing to Dr. Crusher,NO MORE
BROWN HAIR PLEASE)
Best
1. Mugato - They made a great figure out of one of the least appealing
ST
characters. The spine plate has to be the most original accessory.
2. The Gorn Captain - Wow
3. Vina - Too Cool!
4. Martia - Great likeness.
5. Box Set - My favorite characters.
Worst
1. Kirk (TMP) - Terrible likeness.
2. Guinan - Alfalfa's mom.(The 9" is worse)
3. Kurn - Terrible likeness.
4. Seska - Terrible figure with stupid hair style.
5.Tom Paris Mutated - Stupid Idea from a pointless episode.
Best
1. The Gorn(I love the detail on this figure)
2. Generations Kirk (Good production of him and this is my fav.
uniform)
3. Green-uniform Kirk (This was my fav. uniform of the T.V. show)
4. First Contact Borg (Very realistic looking)
5. The Benzite (a well done alien)
Worst
1. Vedik Bariel (I hate the character and the figure)
2. Any Dr. Crusher figure
3. The entire line of Generations crew because of the uniforms
4. Romulan Data and Picard (I got tired of seeing these figures every
time I went to Walmart because they would not sell)
5. Dr. Pulaski (Bad character and figure)
Favorites:
1. Whatever is the newest one in stores is always my current
favorite.
2. Gorn - Best action figure Playmates has done. What an incredible
likeness...and great accessories, too (primitive cannon, spike, diamond
projectiles, and Metron translator/recorder).
3. Vina - what's not to like with a sex-crazed, green animal woman?
4. Talosian Keeper - Star Trek's first and best ever alien.
5. Lwaxana Troi - great character, played by the First Lady of Star
Trek.
Least Favorites:
1. Romulan Picard and Data - these are not action figures..they're
statues.
2. Seska as Cardassian - great character, but poorly designed action
figure. Doesn't look at all like the character on the show.
3. Professor Data - What a pointless figure. And that HUGE tea tray
accessory is SO large...too large to be held by the 9-inch figures, much
less the 4.5".
4. 1701 figures - for obvious reasons.
5. Garak - what a huge torso on this figure!!!
wmccullars@aol.com

5.Esoqq- Really cool alien- Still need him, anyone want to help??
Matt wtonn@tenet.edu
Best
1)Dathon-Excellent likeness of a great character. Too bad they killed
him off. Shaka, when the walls fell... How about a 9" Dathon Playmates?
2)Esoqq-One bad ass alien, fantastic detail!
3)Nausicaan-More detail, hostile aliens are great (unless you're
Picard!)
4)Q in Judges Robes-Love the colors, and styling.
5)Gorn-Superb likeness, lookes even better than in "Arena". Now all we
need is a Baalok figure, scared the hell out of me when I was three!!
Worst
1.Capt. Pike-Looks too generic.
2.Kirk in Space Suit-The figure itself is good, I just hate when they
come up figures that were'nt in the movie/episode.
3.Uniform Repaints-'Nuff said.
4.9" O'Brien-Face looks good, but they should have done "real" hair.
1: The Tosk- the attention to detail and coloration on the figure was
as superb as Mike Westmore's make-up for the character.
2. tied: Esoqq and the Nausicaan- both look wonderful and vicious- a
fight between the two would be something to see.
3. Vina from "The Cage"- the pose is just perfect
4. Lursa and B'Etor- Now why were they recalled? Star Trek figures are
for collector's, not children! :)
5. TOS Bridge set w/ crew- the likenesses of each character (except
maybe Uhura) is excellent.
Colin Kliewer ctk6054@arctic.tamug.tamu.edu
1.Vash
2.Vina
3.Rom (great detail! nice colors!)
4.The talosian keeper
5.Picard from all good things
Worst:
1. Dr. Crusher in 1940's attire/ She has a featureless face, looks
like Odo in drag. Plus, she lost her dentures!!
2. Yeoman Janice Rand/ Has a scary looking face, definitely the worst
makeup job in the fleet!
3.Capt. Pike/ Has no physical features in common with the actor, has
generic head + body.
4.Barclay/ Just hate the guy... and the figure.
5.The Kazon/ What is this???
Best
1. Elim Garak- Great character, spectacular detail!!!
2. Jem H'adar- again, great Detail!
3. Locutus- Just recently got him, and he's great. (a little scary
too...)
4. Ensign Ro- What can I say, liking the characters slights my
opinion...
5. Danthon- Good detail, neat knife holder.
5.5 Viidian- Cool face, detailed outfit, and REALLY creepy (Zombie
arms!)
Worst
1. Generations crew members- gotta fall in line in this one, bad
joints and uniforms suck
2. Dress Uniforms, Duty Uniforms, DS9, First season, etc.- alternate
outfit of regulars get lame, except for dramatic like Picard & Data
Romulan (hey, I'm a big romulan fan and there's only two other romulan
figures!!! Where's Cmd. Tomalak?)
3. Extremely limited figures- I'm new to ST figure collecting; what
chance in hell do I have at getting one of those?
4. Troi figures- What's with the long eyelashes, bad makeup, bad shape
etc.
5. Vedek Bareil- A guy in a dress.....Come on, he's a wuss!
Db587@aol.com
Favorite 5
1) Ensign Ro Lauren -- great figure to compliment and even greater
character
2) Thomas Riker -- because I paid $5 for him at Wal-Mart
3) Esoqq -- Another lucky Wal-Mart find
4) Vina -- sexy green animal woman, who could ask for more?
5) Picard as Galen -- very cool idea, considering Picard lived another
entire life as this character
Least Favorites
1) ANY Wesley Crusher -- what a space wus
2) Dr. Pulaski -- "Data (long a sound), Data (short a sound), what's
the difference?" "One is my name, the other is not."
3) Sheriff Worf -- Goofy
4) Geordi as Tacharren III alien -- I saw enough of those on the
shelves to make me hate em
5) Data in Redemption -- screw up in JC Penney catalog, why didn't
anyone tell me!!!
Kelty25@aol.com
1.NAUSICAAN : place him behind your Tapesty Picard knife posed,
diaroma opportunity
2.FIRST CONTACT SET : greater size greater detail, a different
look from across the room
3.Q IN JUDGE'S ROBE : enough said
4.TALOSIAN : the tv episode brought 3-dimensional
5.HUNTER OF TOSK : check out the detail with a helmet that fits
too.
Worst
1.DR. PULASKI : I don't remember her body looking like Tasha Yar,
more like the wide dress of Data and Geordi in dress uniform
2.Any figure that has uniforms with base paint green instead of the
show blue/teal
3.Any figure with 1701 limits....build them it's cheaper and just
as satisfying on the shelf
4.INTERSTELLAR ACTION BORG maybe Playmates will repaint them again
with the green
5.JANCIE RAND beefy legs and all, besides the red doesn't match the
original crew set, a seperate shelf for her.
mishka@tyler.net
Top 5
1. Essoqq-great detail on this figure, especially the face and chest.
It is w/o a doubt the best looking ST figure ever.
2. Gowron/ritual attire- I really love the outfits that are
traditional in nature like #3 below...
3. Q in judges robe- This was an incredibly detailed and colorful
figure. I'm a collector first and this was never more apparent than when
I passed up a T. Riker on the shelf for this one. It moved me that much.
4. Vedek Bariel- Characters with robes I like very, very much.
5. Governor Worf/Governor- Attention to detail puts these two at the
top
of all the other Admiral/Governor figs. I really like the hair and beards
of both characters.
Worst:
1. Wesley Crusher- weenie.
2. Barclay- All the Barclay figs should be burned in hell !!! God, I
hate
this guy!!!
1. Redemption Data- Data is too cool! He should be sitting in the
Captains chair with that uniform!
2. Picard as Locutus Supernova series- Picard is good, but Picard as a
bad guy is better.
3. Esoqq- Anyone who threatens to eat a Myzarian can't be all bad.
4. Q in Judges Robes- How can you argue against the omnipotent?
5. Lursa and Betor a.k.a. "The Boob Twins"- Boy, what a pair! (of
Klingons!)
WORST
1. All 1701's- Dumbest idea ever by a toy company. Should've made
5000-10000 so it still limited, but people with a life have a chance of
getting one too. (for less than $500!)
2. Admiral McCoy- Dime-a-dozen, worthless, cheesy looking, nuff said.
3. Any Wesley Crusher- Was a dork then, still is now.
4. The Traveler- Reminds me of Wesley. ACK!
5. Data and Geordi in "movie uniforms"- Why aren't these on
Generations cards? What's the point?
pat.harr@info2000.net
Best figures:
1. Q in judges robe (it just looks cool in the box)
2. Dixon Hill (It was the first semi-rare figure we actually found at
Wal-Mart)
3. Gov. Worf from AGT (It looks a lot like he did in the episode)
4. Locutus (an awesome episode)
5. K'Ehleyr (a good likeness)
5 worst figures:
1-3. The whole 1701 series (I wouldn't even pay that much for a car.
Har,Har)
4-5. Picard and Data as Romulans (What's the point?)
Kamala 1701
Top 5 Playmates:
1. Esoqq ('cos it took me so long to get one. It was expensive, but so
much extra mass I felt I got my money's worth)
2. Vina (I love the posability, despite the lack of joints)
3. Lore (I loved this outfit. He wore it in Brothers. Took me a while
to
realise it was a Pakled uniform! Potential for customising here)
4. Khan Noonian Singh (Great likeness!)
5. Rom with Nog (Such a cute idea. A shame Nog was so tiny)
Worst:
1. 1701 limited Tasha Yar (Despite the hype, the alternate universe
uniform and her hairstyle were wrong anyway)
2. Most repaints and head swaps of popular characters. (Enough
already.
Bring on the Classic Trek aliens instead.)
3. Academy Riker (Where's the cleft in his chin?)
4. Tom Riker (Too rare. I customised my own)
5. Carey (Did they think this guy was going to be a regular? So many
other minor characters I'd rather see before him)
Ian McLean lindsay@magna.com.au
1. Gowron and Picard tied for 1st. ( 1st series)
2. Worf, ( 2nd series.) very sturdy
3. Romulan ( 1st series )
Worst:
1. ALL generations figures. What were they thinking of?
2. All voyager figures have very small hands.
3. Once again, I must mention all generations figures.
Greg gregorio@one.ctelcom.net
1. Boxed original crew. It was expensive, but worth it. Also, the
cardboard bridge was an awesome bonus. Even had the "Shatner dramatic
hand gestures" for deep space philosiphy and bad acting!
2. D.S. 9 Worf. I agree with everyone. It's the best Worf of the
original figure size. Finally, a non "light saber" looking phaser. Wish
it was metallic looking.
3. Dax in Klingon uniform. Dax is great, and it was nice to see a
variant on the Klingon figures.
4. Metallic Locutus. The metal actually made Locutus look better,
unlike
metallic Worf.
5. Kirk "Generations". Great to see the movie uniform and provide
custom
figure makers with a way for a "Tapestry" Picard since Playmates
swindled almost everyone. Should have painted stripes on the pant legs.
Suckiest figures in no particular order:
1. All Next Gen. crew "Generations" figures. The stiff elbows and
knees
bit. The wrong uniforms bit harder. All non crew figures were great.
2. D.S.9 Thomas Riker. Stupid idea. WRONG UNIFORM! Riker never
appeared
like this. What's dumber is the fact that it's easy to spot it as
O'brien's body with the rolled up sleeves. The beard could have been
shaved at the sides. One of the best features about Trek figure is
scale. I.E. Picard is usually shorter than Riker and Worf. Why would
Thomas Riker be shorter than Will?
3. D.S.9 Picard. Another stupid idea. Never even appeared like this on
the show. I've always wondered if this idea was a proposed plot for
"Through the Looking Glass".
4. 2nd season Will Riker. A little red paint, and you can make the
"navy
stripe" on the collar. Universally stupid on all figures of this line. A
little more red paint, and you can cover up the rips in the shirt from
the first Riker figure. Is Playmates so financially poor they have to
reuse all molds? This figure would have been cooler if it was shaven
Riker from 1st season. But no, Playmates has to recycle even head molds.
5. D.S 9 Q. Another lame mold reuse with little attention to detail.
Would Q ever appear in just a meir Commander rank? He would if he was
cheap like Playmates and using a Sisko mold with out retouching pin
ranks to Captain LIKE HE APPEARED IN THE EPISODE. Yeah, it's nit-picky,
but if you are going to do something, do it right.

1. troi as durango
2. the talosian
3. vina
4. kes
5. kazon
1. The entire Star Trek First Contact Line (Because, they're bigger,
better, an
d more detailed with
more detailed accessories).
2. Lt. Commander Michael Eddington (He WOULD be great if they
ACTUALLY
made him
as a
figure!!!!! Hello, he's was a crucial character for two seasons of DS9,
get the
hint Playmates!!!!!)
3. The Emergency Medical Holographic Program ('cause, I just plain
like
him; th
ey should make a
Star Trek First Contact version of him).
4. Lt. Reginald Endicott Barclay III [original, "Projections",
whichever]
(He's
just an awesome
character no matter what incarnation. A Star Trek First Contact version
should
be made of him too).
5. Admiral William Thomas Riker [from "All Good Things. . .] (because
he's the
only figure of a
Starfleet Admiral ever made thus far! Plus, he looks like Admiral Leyton
from t
he DS9 episodes
"Homecoming," and "Paradise Lost" so I can pass the old Riker off as
Leyton).
1. Picard as locutus ( they should have done a four episode story)
2. Romulan ( who needs klingons when you have these guys?)
3. Projections Barclay (because I have one)
4. Gorn (well at least once its out)
5. TOS Bidge
WORST:
1.All the Generations crew
2.Kirk in orbit space suit ( it'd be best if it had a working
parachute)
3.Picard as a romulan
4.Data as a romulan
5.Captain Pike (yuck)
smyers smyers@ic.net
5.Janice Rand ( It's a reeeeeeeaaaallllllllly good figure!)
4.Data in the actual "Generations" uniform (They made this a few months
later. It's really nice!)
3.Geordi in the actual "Generations" uniform (They also made this one.
It's really nice too!)
2.Worf in DS9 uniform- The BEST Worf figure ever made, no doubt!
1.The Classic Star Trek Bridge set- The one with the 7 original cast
members! This one will always be my favorite piece no matter what
Playmates makes!
Tim D.
Favorite:
1. Lt. Tasha Yar (My favorite Character)
2. Nurse Christine Chapel (My second favorite character)
3. Lt. Jadzia Dax
4. Lt. Reginald Barclay
5. Dr. Katherine Pulaski (uniform is wrong but face is great)
Least Favorites:
1. DS9 Picard (bad idea)
2. Generations Riker (I just don't like it)
3. Supernova Worf (")
4. Cadet Wesley Crusher (I hate his face paint)
5. Dress Uniform Picard
1. Dathon (A very good figure of an interesting character)
2. Picard in Captain's Jacket (Great look with grey undershirt)
3. Gul Dukat (DS9 would do well to have more Dukat stories)
4. 1st Series Ferengi with Neural Whip (Ferengi shouldn't always be
comic)
5. Mordock the benzite (Interesting "Geode" concept)
Least Favorite:
0. Any 1701 without a more general follow up release (I Don't
collect to make money)
1. Chakotay as Maquis (irrelevant and too short)
2. Admiral McCoy (I prefer to remember him young)
3. Hunter of Tosk (They were REALLY stretching with this one)
4. Neelix (He deserves a better outfit choice)
5. Any Generations Movie Figure (I don't care about the uniform change)
Craig email smithces@nol.com
1. Lt. Natasha Yar (I waited years for this figure and was not
disappointed)
2. Vina (Wow!)
3. Sarek (Looks just like him)
4. Lwaxana Troi (Another long awaited figure)
5. Commander Seal (When she's bad...she's good)
Randy
1. DS9 Worf (He's the best Worf they've made)
2. Borg 1st series (3 words "Resistence Is Futile")
3. The Nausicaan (I still don't see how Picard could touch this guy)
4. Jem'Hadar (He's cool)
5. Q in judges robe (I wish I had this figure cause I think Q is cool)
Justin Richardson rrcoladp@mail.netside.com
1.
Esoqq--If looks could kill.
2. Nausicaan--Looks intimidating to me.
3. Data in "Redemption"--Did I miss something, or did he
wear red in that episode? He DID wear red in "Chain of
Command" Part 2. (but then again, I am colorblind)
4. Kirk/Spock from Special Officers Set #6190--Cool.
5. Romulan--It is one of the few I took out of the package.
I think you should do the top 5 worse figures as well (although
I still loved collecting them!):
1. La Forge as Tarchannen III Alien
2. Picard as Romulan
3. Data as Romulan
4. La Forge Interstellar Action
5. Vorgon
Randy randyvp@nwidt.com
1. Data in Redemption, (and I actually have one!!)
2. Type II phaser, the first toy ever made.
3. Tapestry Picard, (unfortunetly I don't own one.)
4. Bridge playset, still the coolest
5. Transwarp Enterprise, prefect size.
1. Chief Miles O'Brien (any) - My favorite character on the
shows, so
naturally I like his figure(s) best. Whatever evils Playmates may be held
accountable for, at least their figures look like the actors. Now
if someone'll only explain where "Chief" fits into the Starfleet
rankings....
2. Vina - The pose! The green skin! The lust! I love the little fountain
accessory, too.
3. Vorgon - I like the fact that Playmates tried to give him accessories
when the character didn't use any. My favorite is the "Hex - A
futuristic device used by the time traveling Vorgons".
4. Dathon - Another carry-over because of my love for the character on
the show. My wife and I are quickly approaching communication by
methaphor....
5. Nausicaan - The toughest looking Star Trek character. Ever.
Chris Doyle CJDoyle@earthlink.net
1. Picard in casual unifrom (one word...Darmok)
2. Worf DS9 (most accurate Worf and he's not squatting)
3. Lt. Saavik (best Trek uniform and it's not Robin Curtis)
4. General Chang (eye-patch, bone, boots...he's a Klingon)
5. Gul Dukat (great coloring, or lack there of...)
MRupprecht@aol.com
1. bridge play set-too cool for words
2. uss voyager-nacelles move, very interesting
3. ds9 station-sound effects are great!
4. classic communicator-you can really use your imagination
5. bajoran phaser-looks just like the ones used on the show
1. Morn (not a big character on the show, but a good likeness with
great play )
2. Garak (fun to use, good likeness)
3. Ambassodor Spock (absolutely a blast to play with and a virtual mirror
image)
4. Kirk in space outfit (simply the best Kirk)
5. Worf in DS9 uniform (the PERFECT Worf figure)
1.Gowron not that he looks like the figure, as much as it is a fitting
Klingon for battle.
2.Deanna Troi 1st series because she's built better in all the right
places.
3.B'Elanna Torres it just looks like her.
4.Jem Hadar warriors they are the best collection of aliens made for
setting up a battle scene.
5.Tuvok he may not be everyone's favorite, but it's a good figure.
(Alas, as good as the figures are, it's difficult to make them LOOK like
the characters..... but they're still the best renderings!)
1. Q in Judges Robes-the color, the size, the card, it's the best out
there.
2. Esogg-what detail and mass, plus the mystery.
3. Gowron-I change my mind this should be second. It's so
intimidating, what a pack of gouldies.
4. Talosian-I have not seen a figure yet that is a better reproduction
of the charactor.
5. Tricorder-the sounds nail the original show to the wall.
Bill: histoys@easystreet.com
1. Borg (First issue) Details great
2. Generations Kirk(Love the movie uniforms)
3. Garek
4. Voyager Ship ( Iknow but the other Guy listed one)
5. Sela
1. Rescue Worf (he's got original/unique accessories, and that backpack
is too cool.)
2. Chrome Locutus (he's shiny, and has interchangeable hands)
3. B'Elanna as Full Klingon (well-sculpted, but she needed to come with a
dead rat as an accessory...)
4. Durango Troi (she's fun and not at all what I expected in a Troi
variation)
5. DS9 Worf (Paramount finally has Worf's ridges looking perfect, and
this time around so does Playmates... and it only took them 10+
variations of Worf do so!)
Bobbi sambobbi@netnitco.net
1) Amvassador Sarek - love the long white robes
2) ESOQQ - Great detail in this one
3) Deanna Troi as Durango - I'm in love with Deanna
4) Capt Kirk in Generation space suit
5) The large gold Enterprise from TRS - yes I know its not a figure, but
it one of my favorite playmate toys.
1. Vash (long awaited and well done)
2. Ensign Ro
3. Gowron (they made the best alien in the first series)
4. Worf in Rescue Outfit (this is a figure that was meant to be opened
and played with)
5. Picard as Dixon Hill (I liked the whole Holodeck line, and this was
the first)
