The Ladies Themselves

Before

Now

Once upon a time in the early 19th century, Melora Creager, the strawberry queen was born. She grew up with her faithful companion, Mr. Cello whom she deemed the most worthy friend she has ever had. In fact, during 1902 she created an all ladies cello band (of course Mr. Cello was an exception to the lady rule.) She quickly past out strawberry muffin cakes all over her town hoping someone would join her hand. Soon enough, Julia and Agnieszka knocked on her wooden door and together, they became Rasputina. Cheery enough, the band came out with their first album "Thanks for the Ether" and later "How we quit the forest".

Since Rasputina is SUCH an amazing band, Melora soon got recognition through a tour with Marilyn Manson and their hit single "Transylvanian Concubine" played on Buffy, the Vampy Show as Drusilla's theme song. Sadly, Julia fell into a hole and couldn't get up and Agnieszka swallowed a balloon. Seeing that it is a "cello" band and not a single cellist with a drummer, Melora once again past out her strawberry muffin cakes, looking for a new cellist.

Being such a charming queen, she sucked in Nana and K. Cowperthwaite into her cello world. They're captivating music expresses Melora's love of history while they performed in Victorian corsets, bloomers, petticoats, and hoop skirts. The long waiting fans were dying to drown into the new music Rasputina had waiting. Although Kris and Nana were spell bound by some fairy nymphs, Melora kept Rasputina moving along with her fellow side kick drummer, Jonathan Tebeest and her newest cello friend, Zoe Keating (and not forgetting Mr. Cello of course)

Long live the Queen!
