Bing Crosby

DOUGH
2 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoon (level) shortening
1 egg yolk; beaten
2/3 cup milk

FILLING
2 tablespoon butter
3/4 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoon flour
1 can corned beef
1 1/2 cup canned tomatoes
1 dash pepper
1 dash salt

Dough:
Sift dry ingredients. Add shortening and mix thoroughly. Add egg to milk and add to dry mixture to make a soft dough. Divide dough into 2 pieces. Roll out 1/8-inch thick and cut into 6 quarters. Fit into muffin tins. Fill with corned beef mixture and fold edges of pastry over to center. Moisten edges with water to make them stick together. Bake 20 minutes at 375 or until browned.

Filling:
Melt butter in heavy skillet. Add onions and cook slowly until soft. Add flour. Stir. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to boil and stir until thick.
