24 large, fresh figs
24 grape leaves
24 blanched almonds
1 1/4 cups honey
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
48 coriander seeds
2 cups water

Cut the figs lengthwise, about three-fourths of the way; Heat and stir the honey until it is thin, then mix in the cinnamon; Boil the grape leaves in the water for about one minute, then spread them out and wipe dry; Insert one almond and two coriander seeds into each fig; Roll the figs in the honey; Put each fig in the center of a leaf, then gather and tie the top with a string; Bake in a 350 degree F oven until the leaves are completely dry (about 30 min.); Let the figs cool for about fifteen minutes, then remove the strings;
