Basic Barbecue Sauce


1 cup strong coffee
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup Worchestershire sauce
1/3 cup vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon butter

Simmer together in med saucepan for 30 minutes. May be stored in airtight container in refrigerator for 1-2 weeks.

I also add finely chopped onion and garlic for added zest depending on what I am barbecuing but this is a good basic recipes to start with.
