Special Barbecue Cups
2 cn Butter Tastin' Grands Biscuits
1 1/2 lb Ground beef
1 1/2 lb Jimmy Dean Sausage
1/2 teaspoon Onion powder
1 pn Crushed oregano
3 Garlic cloves, minced
3 teaspoon Mustard
1/4 c Ketchup
1/2 teaspoon Liquid Hickory Smoke
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon Seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon Pepper
Sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 ds Accent, Optional
1/2 Bottle Bull's-Eye Hickory Smoke Flavored Barbecue Sauce (or more)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Brown hamburger and sausage in a large pan. Drain. Add onion powder, oregano, garlic, mustard, ketchup, liquid smoke, Worcestershire, salt, accent and barbecue sauce. Simmer 15 minutes to blend flavors.
Meanwhile, prepare biscuits by pushing down individual biscuits into oiled (I use Pam, butter flavor spray) muffin tins. Press the bottom and sides of each biscuit to form what looks like mini pie crusts in the tins. Drain meat mixture well. Spoon well drained meat mixture into the cups filling as full as possible without going over the edges. Top each cup with a slice of sharp cheddar (you can use any cheese you like). Bake until the biscuits are golden and the cheese is melted (I like lots of cheese). Cups are easy to pick up in your hand and eat (great for appetizers) or you can use a knife and fork if desired.
