Crockpot Barbecued Beef Roast
5-6 lb boneless roast
2 tsp garlic salt
1 onion, chopped
2 tablespoon liquid smoke
1/2 cup water
1 cup ketchup
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp lemon juice
1/4 cup brown sugar
Simmer the first five ingredients in a slow cooker for seven hours. Drain; slice roast and return to the slow cooker. Add the barbecue sauce made of the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and brown sugar ( if using crockpot, be sure the sauce is hot). Simmer in barbecue sauce 1 hour until tender. Serve in sauce.
