U. S. Military Creamed Ground Beef (S.O.S.)
Modified to serve six
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1/2 cup flour
dash black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsps beef-flavored instant bouillon
3/4 cup nonfat dry milk
3 cups warm water
1 tsp Worchestershire sauce
Brown beef in its own fat in a skillet. Drain excess fat. Add flour, pepper, salt, and bouillon to beef. Mix thoroughly and cook about 5 minutes or until flour is absorbed. Reconstitute milk with water and add to the beef mixture. Add Worchestershire sauce. Heat to a simmer, stirring frequently until thickened. Serve over burnt toast.
