Lemongrass Lemonade

1 cup sugar
2 stalks lemongrass, bruised cut into 1/2" pieces
3 cup water
juice of 3 lemons
juice of 2 limes
pinch of salt
1/2 quart ice

Garnish
1 lemon thinly sliced
2 stalks lemongrass cut into 2" pieces

Combine the sugar, lemongrass and water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir to dissolve the sugar and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit for 1 hour before straining into a glass pitcher. Before serving, add the lemon juice, lime juice, salt to the syrup. Stir well and add the ice. Serve lemonade in tall glass with lots of ice. Garnish with lemon slices and lemongrass pieces.

Makes about 1 quart.
