Cereal Sunrise Special with Apricot Topper
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 cup diced dried dates
1 cup diced dried apricots
4 cups hot cooked cream of wheat or oatmeal cereal
In bowl, toss together sugar, cinnamon, dates and apricots until mixed. At serving time, fill each of 4 bowls about 1/2 full with cooked cereal. Sprinkle half of apricot mixture on top. Spoon remaining cereal into each bowl. Sprinkle apricot mixture around edge of each bowl. Serve immediately with cream or milk.
