Almond Butter Cake


3 cubes butter or margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
2 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 cup almond paste
3/4 cup sugar
3 small or 2 large eggs
1 tsp. lemon extract or 1/4 cup
lemon juice

Cream together butter, brown sugar, white sugar, 1 egg, flour and baking powder. Beat together almond paste, 3/4 cup sugar, eggs, and lemon extract or lemon juice. Beat until creamy and lumps of almond paste are gone. Put the 2 mixtures together. Mix well. Spread in 2 (9 or 10-inch) pie plates or 1 (9 x 13-inch) pan. Bake 50 to 60 minutes at 325 degrees.
