Chocolate Banana Snack Cake


1-2/3 cup flour
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup oil
1 teaspoon white vinegar
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup mashed ripe banana
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Stir together flour, brown sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Add water, oil, vinegar and vanilla; beat until smooth. Add banana. Pour batter into greased and floured 8-inch square pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over top. Bake at 3500 for 35 - 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack; cut into squares.

Makes 8 servings.
