Bourbon Candied Pecans


1 1/2 Cups of whole pecans.
1 Tablespoon of vegetable oil.
2 Cloves of garlic, chopped fine.
2 Ounces of bourbon.
3/4 Teaspoon (or less) of cayenne' pepper to taste.
1 1/2 Tablespoons of honey.
1 Teaspoon of salt.
Pepper to taste.

Dry roast the pecans in a fry pan to release the flavor. Add the oil and garlic, and sauté' briefly. Add the bourbon, cayenne' pepper, honey, and salt and pepper to taste. Toss to coat well. Spread coated pecans on a baking sheet that has been sprayed with a non-stick spray and dry in a 350 degree F. oven for 5 minutes. Store in a airtight container.
