Chocolate Revels


1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup butter
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour

Cream all ingredients together except the chocolate chips. Melt the chocolate chips either in a double boiler or in the microwave. Stir them into the creamed mixture. Swirl slightly. Roll into balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with a greased glass dipped in sugar. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

Makes about 30 cookies.

NOTE:
You can add 1 cup of chopped pecans if desired. Add them at the same time as the chocolate chips.
